Yep, this is exactly what it was like.
ОтветитьShut up And Take My Money!
ОтветитьWhy does this feel like an ad they'd have playing in The Mighty Boosh?
ОтветитьBut is there free fitting!?
ОтветитьSeems rather like ads today.
ОтветитьAnother outstanding contribution to and/or celebration of British culture. Deserves an MBE at least.
Ответитьyou should do a video crossover with the nostaliga cristic
ОтветитьPerfection.
ОтветитьIf the interest on my pay now, buy later consolidated hole isnt over 1000%, I'm not interested.
Ответить"YOOWHA?"
ОтветитьBANG! BANG! BANG!
And the kitchen looks brand new!
You (T)W...
ОтветитьDang, now I want some Twaet
ОтветитьSubtitles at the end said; "Twat! And the dirty scone!"
ОтветитьBritain seems like a weird place
Ответить" calls will be recorded for creepy purposes " true tho
ОтветитьUnsecured personal hole! Lol
ОтветитьHe’s parodying “Safestyle buy one get one free adverts”.
ОтветитьYou forgot the bit where the advertiser yells " I must be CRAAAAAAZY to offer you a deal this good!" while in a straightjacket. Or using the product for something extremely ridiculous that it was never designed for, like demonstrating the tensile strength of a wash cloth by tying one end to the back of a monster truck and the other to a dump truck and flooring the gas.
Ответитьi want to say this is incorrect but is in fact ridiculously tame
ОтветитьYou never fail to make me laugh! 😂
ОтветитьThis makes me want to party like it's 1999
ОтветитьYou, sir, are a rare jewel. 🤌
ОтветитьCan’t believe this was the only add in the entirety of 1999, he had a complete monopoly
ОтветитьCongratulations on your The News Quiz appearance, Alasdair!
ОтветитьThe only reason Alex Horne hasn't yet made the call is that he's envious of that hair.
ОтветитьThere needs to be something about the Y2K scare in there too
ОтветитьThis video unlocked several core memories.
Ответить"BANG! And the dirt is gone!"
This is supposed to be a parody of the absurd British ads that get burned into your psyche, isn't it?
I may of been born in 2001 but I do have vague memories of seeing Ads like these back in the day.
ОтветитьThis just sounds like a Horrible Histories skit
ОтветитьHey, Ginger, is it my impression or are you videos getting shorter and shorter???
ОтветитьYou what?!
ОтветитьThere has never been a joke more targeted to my humor specifically than "I've already told the police."
Ответить"and the dirty scone" -YT captions
ОтветитьI do not remember ads like these... especially not with bald bearded men dressed like prospectors from 1800...
Ответить£999.99
Ответить1999.999
ОтветитьI remember BOGOFF adverts well, glad someone else did
ОтветитьTvätt Is the swedish word for laundry. The pronunciation is pretty close :D
ОтветитьAccurate.
Also, note how many "cleaning" products are named after something filthy, or at least read at a glance something that registers as filthy, such as the CIF venereal disease, erm I mean bathroom cleaner, or the CLIT BANG whatever cleaner (that's how I read it every time, anyway).
Beats me why these chemical companies can't just call their stuff "Sparkle McCleany" or something that at least vaguely suggests something sanitary.
bald
ОтветитьYou have a bad experience with safe style glazing? 😂
ОтветитьHm. Only running at 85% Yelliness. Could do with more crash zooms.
ОтветитьThis is more the confused and jumble dream my mind put together from commercial fragments while I fell half asleep in front my grandma's television.
ОтветитьThe scary part is that this is actually more toned-down than the original advert it was based on.
ОтветитьRed Dwarf fan here, was surprised to find an entire line of “SMEG” cooking appliances at the shop the other day.
ОтветитьGod this reminds me of the old double glasing adverts. "Ya buy one you get one free, i said you buy one you get one free !, top banana !".
Edit. Bugger i just saw someone already beat me to it 😂.
One of the insperations for this was the Safestyle UK windows and doors, from the early 2000s: "Ya buy one ya get one free, asay ya buy one free, call nooooow!", starting a shouty bloke called Jeff Brown from Burnley, who turned out to be a tax evader.
ОтветитьIs it £999.99 or £99,999?
