Cal; We are the ones going to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia for 6 weeks in October. In all of your videos that we have watched (they are GOLD, thanks) one subject has not been touched (unless we missed it): Public bathrooms.
Are their bathrooms in 7-11's, drug stores, shops, etc? Is it acceptable to walk in and use them? Are there 'Toilet Stations' in public areas? Are they free (not in Venice!). Thanks Rayray & Kimber
Use grab for taxis
Ответитьdon't use bolt. use grab. every time i use bolt the drivers try to rip me off. and drink beer only pretty much cuz it won't kill u. I'd be in doors by midnight or safe in your hotel bar or something. i wear earplugs most of the time. noise and screaming and tuktuk trying to get ur attention will mess with your head. smile a lot. keep ur wallet safe in a pouch down your pants. leave 100 baht in 20s in your hotel as a distraction. if it's gone u know you have thieves about. don't leave cards, etc. out in hotel. hiding it where even a monkey can't find it is good. laptops phones etc. in super safe place and triple lock doors. be nice to security guards.
ОтветитьFellow Canadian here and getting ready to make the big move to Thailand! Thank you so much for the good info!
ОтветитьI lost interest in visiting. I don't want to be in careful mode all the time.
ОтветитьThank you Cal !!! I haven’t been scammed due to my wife being Thai … I’m the lucky Farang 😂
ОтветитьYou definitely sound like you’re from western PA.
ОтветитьSame rules for any big city in the west.
Go to NYC, LA, Orlando, Miami and you can see many of the same things.
These taxi problems are the same all over the world
Ответитьwrong.!!!!!!!
the biggest scam is chicks with 🥒🥒🥒!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The biggest scams are the ploys that only get you to spend money on drinks and don't go upstairs for a toss
ОтветитьWell done.
ОтветитьDoes any Thai person actually call their country "Land of Smiles"?
Ответитьsoon I'll be there
ОтветитьExcellent information. Thanks.
ОтветитьNepali speaking fortune teller born and raised in thai
Thai citizen
I don’t think people from nepal go to tell fortune it can’t be
we need fee visa and not free visa to go thailand
Wow … I am almost scared to go there!
ОтветитьSo basically everything is a scam 😅.
ОтветитьYeah, I can relate. Whenever I get in a cab, I always ask, ‘Taxi meter on, please.’ If they say ‘no, no’—it usually means they’re trying to rip you off.
Ответитьthank you for all these tips man i m going to Bangkok next month
ОтветитьI really don’t need to watch this i grew up in the hood
ОтветитьGreat advice 👍
ОтветитьGood info, thanks. PS: It's "tout", not "tote".
ОтветитьWhat´s a tote? Do you mean tout?
ОтветитьFake alc is easily avoided by only drinking sealed bottles. Final good advice, never get a drink with ice, it might be questionable water to upset your stomach and ruin your day or vacation in the worst case.
ОтветитьNever use a taxi in Thailand. Use bolt or grab its much cheaper and you know what you are going to pay before you even get in the car.
ОтветитьScam doesn't sound like a word anymore and I'm 1 minute in.
ОтветитьThanks 👊 bro
ОтветитьIm planning go to Thai for 1 month, thank you very much. What I most afraid is about hotel scam and the risk of entering cars. What do you think about the public transportation?
ОтветитьMy god so many scam’s put me off going to Thailand thankyou for your Excellent info helping visitors stay safe 😮😊
ОтветитьI change my mind about visiting Bangkok this year. Too much to worry about. Thank you
Ответитьit was the wedgie pick for me lol
ОтветитьWhat I don't get is that Thai culture is about "face" and reputation..
This is a big stain on Thai reputation, so why is it not "shamed" more?
Whilst I am planning a trip and ask who will join, about half does not want to go to Thailand.
2 reason are the most given, no English speaking everywhere and scams/honeytraps.
So they prefer Malaysia, Indonesia/Bali and/or Philippines instead.
IMO this can cost Thailand a lot more in revenue then they might realize..
resume - Dont use taxi
ОтветитьI’m 6 minutes in and I’m already tired omg
ОтветитьThank you so much!,
Ответитьindians will scam everywhere
ОтветитьAwsome detailed video many need to see this
Ответитьdude, the very second you put a foot on thailand the scam tour begins
ОтветитьWhere are you from? San Escobar 😂😂😂
ОтветитьUse Public Transport If it s possible and If you are afraid of All Things of the daily life ,stay at Home ...
ОтветитьIn bolt app when a driver pick you up he wont click the app to start the ride. When you arrive at your destination the driver will charge 100 bhat more using the app for waiting for you at the pick up point and you being late to get inside the car. To avoid it when driver start the ride check in your bolt app the your map change and you are going to your destination. If you ain't moving then ask the driver to confirm ride in his bolt app
ОтветитьJust curious how do they scam you when you show them your Thai or Canadian money/notes? You show them your money in your wallet and? They take/grab it and run?
ОтветитьMaybe I shouldn’t go to Thailand after hearing all these stupid scams. It’s not worth the hassle of having to be on guard while you are on vacation.
ОтветитьI got scammed hotel and Taxi I don’t trust men but women’s ok though
ОтветитьI’ll go somewhere else
ОтветитьSo ..... expect to be scammed for almost all transportation always? Good grief. This isn't encouraging at all. Planning my first trip, and thinking maybe this isnt a place id like to visit after all.
ОтветитьOMG, It sounded like a land of scams!
I am so glad that I have come across your vlogs. Thank you so much for all these valuable points! As a thank, I have subscribed to your channel. Thank you Cal!
