about damage calculation and the tauros demon. Im not 100% sure but i think enemies in ds1 have flat defences like in the future titles meaning some defence is not percentile but direct. This means that when you damage something the damage is decreased by a percent but also by a flat amount. because of that dealing many small hits deals way less damage than one big hit (you can see that you only dealt 10 damage per tick to the tauros demon even though you had 38 damage) thats consistent throughout the series and is the main reason weapons with split damage and multihit spells start bad in most games but because flat defence does not grow by much over the game they often get way better in later stages of the game. as an example the tauros demon took 10 damage while you dealt 38 (im not shure if he also has some percentile fire defence so im gonna ignore that for the example) 80 casts would deal 800((38-28)*80) damage while tauros has 1215 hp to kill him you would however only need to raise your damage by 6 because (44-28)*80 = 1280 thats an increase of only 16% more. this also means that the hypermode setup deffinetly would deal more damage than the dusk crown one even without the motion value stuff.

Idk personally struggling with mental health and really bad clinical depression wasn’t bad at all jus kept practicing and obviously I got better the ppl saying these games are not for them get too mad at games which is a key tactic to stop which I had to in order to get better at games cuz frustration will build up and you won’t have a clear head but if you’ve never been thru smth like a mental health or have trauma I could see how it could be too much cuz I rlly didn’t get into these until I developed it and getting the learning curve in souls games is a walk in the park for me compared to my mental health issues

these players ego is so far up their ass is insane, dark souls is such an easy well baked and balanced game, but people wanna pretend that they can play a game and be good at it from the get go instead of going trough the learning curve the game wants you to go trough, there are several actualy hard hard games that will not even give you a chance to learn anything like metal slug, contra, ninja gaiden etc etc even mario 3 is harder then dark souls, and dark souls is a pretty relaxing game too once you know whats going on, but instead people just rather get frustrated by the tinyest wall in their way and gatekeep themselfs out of a good product

lol she is lucky that she did not tried Dark Souls 2 which is literally a Game full of Glitches and broken combat mechanics. Dark Souls 2 is literally the worst souls game ever. Even Players who finishes Elden Ring and Dark Souls 3 have a hard time. Dark Souls 2 also is the less successful business wise as they sold almost half compared the the DArK Souls 1.

Soul games is not for everybody, to me exactly, how many controller and tv screen broken for sekiro, the first soul games i buy is sekiro hope one day i can finished it, just hope 😢
