Mount Langley is the ninth highest peak in California at 14,042 ft. It is also the southernmost 14er in the United States. It is only 5 miles from Mount Whitney and in the same range.
The trailhead starts at nearby Horseshoe Meadow, passes scenic Cottonwood Lakes, and climbs through Old Army Pass. From there, connect onto Mount Langley trail, which follows a series of large rock cairns for the two mile push to the summit.

Elevation gain: 4,432 ft.
Summit: 14,042 ft.
