Love you Herbie
ОтветитьThanks to mr. Hancock, the intergalatic space musician, for creating these awesome notes.
ОтветитьThe groove is otherworldly. If aliens showed up I'd just play Herbie and they be shaking ass! 🙏
ОтветитьFantastic sound. We heard Herbie and crew on Thursday 6/22/2023 at the Palace in Waterbury, CT. He is 83 and jumped in the air with his guitar-synth to end Chameleon
ОтветитьHerbie Hancock, piano, keyboards; Benny Maupin, tenor saxophone; Paul Jackson, bass; Wah Wah Watson (Melvin Ragin), guitar; and James Gadsen, drums.
Ответить🤯🤯🤯
ОтветитьI could listen to this only for the rest of time.
This is so cool
Nobody grooves like that nowadays!
ОтветитьWah Wah doesn't solo,he's adding colors and 'special effects ' to the music as well as the deep pocket rhythm guitar
ОтветитьThe first track, “Gentle Thoughts” is one of the smoothest songs ever recorded. Thank you for all the amazing music along the way Herbie!
Ответитьfantastic. commercials at the end even better.
ОтветитьYeah,,,,yup
ОтветитьCan anyone else hear how "Lovely Day" was inspired by this?

P.P.S. The (of course censored;) joke guy and commercials sequence, actually the freaky but so cool :D smashed me so good !!!
Anyone know who the Drummer is on this performance? its not Mike Clark and i don't think its Harvey Mason because he wasn't with The Headhunters in 76'
ОтветитьLove this!
ОтветитьI saw Donald Byrd many years ago.....he brought up Herbie Hancock, he called him "The sophisticated fearless fly" that cracked me up and I'll never forget it.
ОтветитьWhere can i get this version of Hang up your hang ups ?
Ответитьone of the greatest basslines ever. So smooth and funky. Sophisticated.
ОтветитьI can't find the words to express the joy Herbie and the Headhunters give me. Jazz flutist Kent Jordan was my jr. high music teacher and we learned songs like "take the A train" and "I remember Clifford". Those songs planted the seed that became my love for jazz. The first song by Herbie I ever heard was "spiraling prism". I never knew the name of the song but I was obsessed with finding out who made it. One day as I was washing the first car I ever bought with my own money, (an '81 Cutlass supreme) it came on the local rnb station in their Sunday morning jazz show followed by "textures" and ending with "chameleon". I was never the same. I made it my mission in life to find everything he was on. If there is a mt. Rushmore of genius keyboardists, Herbie has to be on it ....
ОтветитьCool jamz. WahWah crucial!
How about those commercials?!
(Humans are strange...)
