$60 Space Marines Assault Intercessors Unboxing & Build

I'm kinda surprised gw didn't go with the etb style. I would have thought it easier to do that and just throw in a weapons sprue or something for the sgt.

Multipart gives you a variety of poses, I'd use a mix of the 2. Having 2 models look the same isn't fun.

Always "fun" to watch as a Chaos player - how Primaris got 4x sprue and full options in box and chaos have 2x sprue in terminator box and lack of options (1x chainaxe) FOR same price !

I got indomitus but haven't built my it yet, I'm planning on kitbashing the assault intercessors with the intercessors from Dark Imperium to make the units as different looking as possible. getting this kit would get me a few extra poses and weapon options to mix in.

They seem pretty cool i like the flamer and hammer combo for my salamanders but idk

Thanks for this reveiw. It looks like you can use these bodies to give the other Primaris troop type models a bit more variety in poses, ie: bolt rifle armed Intercessors advancing etc, At least I'm hoping that's the case . Nice to see the weapon options, even if you don't use all of them, more bits for the box, which is never a bad thing, IMO.

$60 for 2x2 sprues. GW is laughing all the way to the bank.

That Thunder hammer is not looking impressive, the Vanguard Veteran or even Deathwatch kill team box is looking like a push-fits best friend.

Missing the extra weapons, and the shoulders are pre-attached to the arms in Indomitus. Other than that the Indomitus set is better.

It's useful to have both running and stationary poses. It's somewhat odd to say one model is better than another because one is running and another is standing still.

All i want to know is the size difference between the assault intercessor powerfist, and first born marine powerfist.

I think the push fit ones are more dynamic due to the easy build. They had the pin on the bottom foot so almost all of them are with only one foot down. Posing all of them in action modes. You would need to do a lot more modding to change the poses. The multi pose box ones you see almost all have both feet on the base. So you can if want to be adventurous mod them to make some really different poses. I already have my 10 from the Indomitus box so I got this set to make up more custom figures, will make all variants of the Serjeant model so I can have fun painting them and use which ever one I want when play.

The real Advantage on the push fit ones is that you can get them sooo cheap in the starter boxes

The real plus to multiaprt kits is conversions and what not.

The 3 9th edition starter sets have the same set of push fit assault intercessors as the indomitus box has which are easier to find than the indomitus ones right now

I've built 2 AI squads from Indomitus: green stuff and dremmel were my friends to prevent models from looking the same. looks like if I am going to build more I would need to get weapons from the pile of bits I have from other builds

...so Necron warriors get repack from Indomitus but SM get multipart kit?
Why am I not even surprised...

Additional weapons are really the only thing going for the kit. How does the price compare to getting 10 indom marines (40-46) and those weapons separately (???)....assuming you can get them. I know a US brick and mortar that does 20%, making the kit cost $48. We kind of have to get the bits for a steal to not lose out.

Unless you're like me and already invested into the indom marines (Indomitus + Starters).

I got the 10 from Indomitus box and the 5 from the elite box set, plus another 10 I bought on eBay. I was starting to regret buying that many when I saw gw was going to release this multi-part kit with the very important extra power weapons. But now that I'm seeing this video, I'm not impressed at all at the quality of the new kit. I might as well get the power fist from 3rd party companies. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You do realise you dont have to use that body for the sarge? The value of multipart is you can make a wider variety of poses and such. Swap weapons with other kits more easily etc.

Are the guys from the Indomitus set have the same pose like the guys from the multi part set? I am trying to compare the artwork, as I only have the multi part set and it seems to me that the poses are different.
Would be nice to know, because if this is the case I would definetly buy an Indomitus assault set on ebay.

Mould lines don’t bother me much, but goodness they dynamism of the Indomitus Sergeant is incredible. I’m going to get both types; great content🍻

Options will ALWAYS be better than monopose.

I am going to paint my multi part Assault intercessors as veterans, I think that the less dynamic poses is better for older more mature Marines. Who crossed the Rubicon verses ones that were born as primaris.

If I buy this box, can I use it for kill team?
