" that really blew my house"
Haha you are adorable!
Best feel good song ever. Amazing In person also sounds like a studio recording… except the ad-lib stuff… he never missed a note. Best male voice, John Denver is a close second. Amy Lee is the best female vocalist.
ОтветитьBoston's first album was not played by a band...Brad did the whole thing, played every instrument, sang every part and recorded the whole thing is basement...After the album went gold, fans demanded a tour...which is when Brad needed to actually come up with other musicians and go on tour
ОтветитьBoston did a really crummy thing by putting out a song that every garage band wanted to play but none could sing.
ОтветитьOne of the greatest songs of all time, period.
ОтветитьHi Ms Biscuit. First time I have listened to Boston. There we're a great group.
ОтветитьMarianne was Tom Stolz older cousin. He had a little crush on her when her was about 9 or 10 and Marianne was 16. He immortalised her in this song. There is a reason why Boston's music is some of the most sold albums in History . . .
Ответитьgreat reaction as usual. love your personality....
ОтветитьI am fairly sure that this was a live performance in 1976.
ОтветитьTom Scholz recorded and mixed much of the entire album in his basement studio... in the seventies, and some of the equipment that he built himself! He's an MIT trained Engineer.
ОтветитьIt is a perfect song because of
When I'm tired and thinking cold
I hide in my music, forget the day
And dream of a girl I used to know
I closed my eyes and she slipped away
She slipped away
Everyone has felt that once. Well. Normal people.
If you want to be even more impressed by this song and every song on that premier BOSTON album, understand that the whole album was made on analogue equipment in Tom Scholz's basement! Nothing to help him get it "perfect" but his own ears and timing. There are several great tracks on this album like "Piece of Mind", "Foreplay/Long Time", "Rock and Roll Band" and "Smokin" .
ОтветитьHey ❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьThree other Boston songs I'd love to see you react to: "Peace of Mind," "A Man I'll Never Be," and "Something About You."
ОтветитьBisscute, if you listen again, at the end, the note he holds transitions to a spacelike sound seamlessly. It does sound like he is still going though! 'Smokin' is another perfect song! The entire album is one of the best debut albums of all time.
ОтветитьFunny enough this one of the first rock songs i have ever heard as a kid and it made me fall in love with the all concept of rock music but i never heard some of their other songs i knew only this one and everytime i would hear it it was higly nostalgic.
I started with a few hard rock bands like GnR and LZ than i got into classic metal stuff and than some thrash and melodeath but these days i find myself realy into that period of time (70s-80s) so i got back and started listening to Aerusmith, Deep Purple, Def Lepperd, Scorpions, Motley Crue, Van Halen and the more classics are The Who and Boston.
this time for rock was probably the best one yet.
so many good bands that are waiting for me to discover.
Born in 1987 this is my favourite song of all time. Your Depeche Mode reaction brought me here. Rock obtained perfection in 1976. RIP Brad
ОтветитьThis was one of the best Rock n Roll songs aver made, so remember Bisscute the song is - MORE THAN A FEELING and it certainly shows how you, A Romanian lady is also MO😍RE THAN A FEELING Love. Best Wishes and love all your reactions dear.😘
ОтветитьLovely reaction. One of the finest rock songs of all time.
ОтветитьPerfect. Yes!
ОтветитьBoston was truly amazing. They have never been duplicated. However, if you want perfection, then ABBA is music and vocal perfection personified.
ОтветитьPerfect album. Every song. Perfect
ОтветитьI was there, in high school. I’m an old fuc*er (I’m 62). Boston pioneered the electric guitar and keyboards. Took the world by storm. Kiss was the only other band in their league, then Journey. 👍😎
ОтветитьSay hi from Bolivia 🇧🇴,so I think you really are the most beautiful woman in the world
ОтветитьYou're right Bisscute, it is a perfect song 👍😁
ОтветитьAnyone watch Aqua Teen Hunger Force? According to Carl this is the world's greatest song.
ОтветитьThis song as well as 6 of the 7 other songs on the album were recorded in Tom Sholz's (lead guitarist) basement. All instruments excluding drums (Sib Hashian rip) were played by Tom. All vocals sang by Brad Delp rip. Released in 1976. Maryann was Tom's cousin he a crush on when he was 10. Considered best debut album ever by millions, every cut on the album is legendary. 👍😎❤️
ОтветитьLol..I beleive most of us would also claim this as being the first time hearing Boston..This oprned thr doors widr open to a great experience.
ОтветитьYou're right: This is one perfect song. Total masterpiece. The same goes to the whole album.
ОтветитьBOSTONのデビューアルバムはロック史に刻まれた名盤であり、もう50年以上経っているが未だに輝いている名曲ばかりである。
ОтветитьMid 80's
ОтветитьThis is one of the greatest rock songs of all time. You might try listening to "Amanda" also.
ОтветитьInteresting, youngsters now think that it is amazing that a singer can actually sing
ОтветитьIt is from 1976.
ОтветитьNot sure of where you are from and i disagree with some of your opinions but.....
YES>
Perfect song. Lead singer hits the high C. Extremely rare and he does it within the structure of the tune.
You have the high forehead mole and left or right cheek as well. Rare breed indeed. Please keep doing what you are doing.😎
Boston is Tom Scholz, the guitarist at stage right. He wrote all the music, put the band together, produced all the records, even invented some of the gear and devices used to record them. True enough, Brad Delp really belted out the vocals and contributed greatly to Boston's instantly-recognizable sound. Other vocalists could have done that, though he's the one who actually did it. Sib Hashian was a very good drummer. There are literally millions of very good drummers on the planet. But Tom Scholz is the musical genius who created this music. Barry Goudreau and Fran Sheehan were just hired hands. Also, I've seen a couple comments that Boston were just as tight live as they were on record. Absolutely not true. Saw them many times live. Brad Delp USUALLY at least hit the high notes live, but then abandoned them very early to save his voice, and even Tom Scholz could never re-created his multi-tracked guitar sound on stage. They were pretty good in concert but there's a reason there's not a Boston Live album.
Ответитьcrazy that Boston isnt in the rock n roll hall of fame. smfh.
Ответитьgreat band and love younger ppl liking it.
Ответить"The legend says he was still going" A+ Reactor humour right there.
ОтветитьI saw them in concert back in the 70's. Great concert and it was wild!
ОтветитьFor me you're the perfect song gorgeous and sexy and very beautiful accent 😍! Perfect
ОтветитьIconic and wonderful song. Thanks Bisscute.😊
ОтветитьHard to argue with this being a perfect song. I mean what more can you want, it has incredible vocals, crescendos, slow parts, faster parts guitar solos, great lyrics telling a story, beautiful sounding all round.
I'm 31 and have a huge love for so much older music. Don't get me wrong there are plenty of modern rock/metal bands I like too, but a lot of my favourites are from before I was born 😂
Yes your right forgive me I realized I got the date wrong after I did the comment.
ОтветитьYour right Bisscute this album was released in 1975 and when I first heard this entire album at a friend's house I couldn't get enough of it I listened to the album all night over and over. I was in the 5th grade at the time of this album release.
ОтветитьA masterpiece! By the way, I love your videos, you are very cute and funny!
Ответитьsaw them live in the 80s it was incredible tom is best guitar player ever
ОтветитьWas fortunate enough to see Boston live many many years ago. They were as perfect live as they were on their albums. They played for 2.5 hours with one intermission in between, which was filled with Tom Scholz, the lead guitarist playing organ during the fifteen minute break that lead into Foreplay/Long Time. One of the greatest live shows I've ever seen. And yes, Brad Delp hit every single high note he sang. It was incredible.
