Man, when you brought up the impostor syndrom stuff up, I teared up. I've dealt with this since forever and I probably have dysthymia (getting checked on it). It's hard getting things done even tho I have the capability to learn and understand what I want to actually do. A few months ago, I swore to myself that I was going to make my own game, even tho it's probably going to take me like, around 5 years or so to have a stable prototype, and I'm aware of that. It's just hard setting little goals for me in between, but this is what I need to do. Little steps, moving closer to my dream. Thanks for making this video, and thanks for your channel. I'm glad I found out about you, I love your work.
ОтветитьThank you !
ОтветитьOh crap, it's the King of Town! Hide your whats it!
ОтветитьGreat
ОтветитьI just want to thank you for your usual advice, this is the video I was needing to continue. Sometimes we lose our way and its difficult for us to stay on the path, but thanks to people like you we can continue dreaming. Greetings from Argentina! 🇦🇷
ОтветитьI have such high aspirations and I always get disheartened when I can’t get there. I’m my own worst critic. There’s some good tips in here, but my takeaway is this: if you want to design and build a Ferrari, start off by building a peddle-kart. When you’ve done that, try a cart with a lawn mower engine. Then a cart with suspension… don’t start by stitching the leather gear-shift cover. Yes that was all metaphors! 😂😂
ОтветитьYou actually have something in common with me! I wanted to make games but failed at that. I wanted to animate. I got into it. Then I failed. I found Blender, or blender found me. But it looked to complicated for my taste. Over time I stuck with animating and kinda wanted to make a game still and had so many ideas and even a story! But I didn’t know how to start. Years go by and now I’m doing 3D animation. Note I started like 4 or 5days ago and I’m posting progress videos. I’m actually making a Sonic animation! But i so far am really into blender! Who knows I might even make a game. 🤷🏻
ОтветитьI enjoy have more then one project going at a time, because it helps me never get creative block. But that's just me.
ОтветитьIf I just making something for myself I’m team 5%, if I’m forced to push through it has to be done at 95%😢
ОтветитьKeep the beard.
ОтветитьI'm definitely the not getting past the firs 5% guy. I just have so much to learn with animation, rigging, lighting, creating environments, etc, etc... and it gets overwhelming that I just end up procrastinating.
ОтветитьIt’s a tutorial about stopping watching tutorials 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьGeez I really needed this right now. I'll be back here in a year to get another motivational confidence boost.
Ответитьsick clickbait thumbnail "stop watching tutorials" straight into a tutorial video, I'll start not watching tutorials with this video I guess.
ОтветитьThanks from the bottom of my heart
ОтветитьThanks for this bro, I watched 100% of the video !
ОтветитьThanks for these tips. Inspiring and motivational 👍 Let’s eventually Blend this 😺!
Ответитьthat was awesome!
Ответитьthis is the most helpful video ive found on the internet .. thank you
ОтветитьThanks for these Coole Amazing Motivation Tips!!! Thanks!!! 👍😁
ОтветитьAll fantastic advice! Over the years, I’ve also found that becoming a better artist has had less to do with my technical or artistic skill and more with how I approach creative projects. It’s about the creative process, avoiding perfectionism, and staying true to the emotions behind what I’m creating. The closer my inspirations and workflow stay to the core emotions that drive me and the experiences I want to convey through my art, the more likely I am to finish.
Ответитьteam last 95%. Good tips, nothing I haven't heard before but, always a great reminder.
ОтветитьI should mention that the short mentioned below is about a woman's right to choose and what can happen when it's take away. It could be triggering for some people.
ОтветитьNOT TRYING TO BE RUDE AT ALL but how come it took 5 years to make your short film? I'm actually wondering
ОтветитьI'm at a creative block rn, this video has helped me, its like a custome made video for me. Thank you!!
Ответитьhi southern shotty im making a discord server for creators and community are you interested
ОтветитьThank you for making this!
ОтветитьI needed this, thank you!!
ОтветитьMy main issue is learning new tricks, deciding I can implement that trick in my projects, and so I keep going back and revising and never getting to the end
ОтветитьThat's an important topic, not only for animators but for creators in general. I'm the 95% type, I always think the project is never good enough, that I need to improve something, but this never ends and I end up leaving the project.
ОтветитьExcuse my language!!! but your a fucken hero and a legend you aspire me and many others out there to not stop and keep trying no matter what , thank you.
ОтветитьProgrammers/Coders have this saying called "tutorial hell" I think it applies just as much to people trying to learn art as well nice Video Shotty
P.S Grow your beard back please, you look like an off-brand Tom hardy 😭🙏
Don't worry, I will keep watching your tutorials 😂
ОтветитьWhich software are you using for the planning phase?
Ответитьyou look tired, man
i hope you're okay and that you're getting enough rest 💪
Thank-you so much I am about to release my blender film I learnt a lot from my video good luck on any future projects
ОтветитьI can't even begin to imagine how much I'd struggle to finish a whole shortfilm. Honestly, props to you.
ОтветитьWatches tutorial on how to not watch tutorials
Ответитьanyone here ADHD?
ОтветитьIt’s crazy to see this video right now. I’m a video editor that in 2020 went hard in blender and fell in love, tho at this moment I’m unable to finish any of the projects I’ve started. Like all 10,000 of them. Just yesterday I actually rendered out a scene for the first time in yearssss.
ОтветитьAwesome marketing idea to hide the the coupon code! That deserves a huge thumbs up!
ОтветитьMy biggest struggle is getting my Armature to work. I'm actually working on a group collab for a 2D feature. I have my model in T Pose but for some reason when I bend at the waist the Eyes stretch from the center and it looks like Tex Avery's Wolf. I figure it is a weight painting issue and my model isn't all one mesh. I just can't seem to gets past it. It's only for storyboard and artists reference but either way, I really want to nail this.
Ответитьbig reason to fail at doing big project is making something higher then your abilities "knowledge/skills, hardware..."
no discipline and not treating it as a business if you think you are gonna make money with.
many more here are the big ones
Needed this.
ОтветитьSadly, i think i get stuck on both the first 5% and 95%. Very inspiring, though!
ОтветитьCongratulations!
