Ok. That's cool. I didn't know one could make a bonsai branch in general, so finding that out is really neat. But I'm guessing that doesn't just apply to Bonsai?
ОтветитьFantastic. I have an elm with hidden buds and I was wondering how to make them break. Thank you so much! 🙏
ОтветитьHi Milton, will this technique work on Oak trees?
Ответитьthanks this is so interesting! I saw a discussion about this somewhere last week, it's really interesting to see it done in real life!
my Chinese elm has just woken up after winter a couple of weeks ago.
I'd cut a big cut on it, but instead of budding out of existing buds and branches, it only budded out from the edge of the cut (with 5 branches ) and all up the main branch at the base of every secondary branch. but nothing on the actual branches.
it doesn't matter as the tree is in very early development, it will probably turn out to be a good thing.
but is this normal? I've never seen anything like it 😅
Is this work for maple tree too?
ОтветитьHi, this technique works also to olive tree?
ОтветитьIf i have a straight trunk on a maple i wonder y it activates the bud when ur making the cut above it and not below it. i get its stopping the flow but it would be stopping it above the bud do u know y that is? Also can u use this method on a maple where the rings are on the bark to make a new bud? Thanks .
Ответитьman your cutter looks filthy
ОтветитьWhat if there a place on a tree where you wanna do the cut but theres no bud there, would the technique still work? Would this technique also work on the main trunk of the tree?
