I'm broke af I rather go to Texas and get more out of it then Vegas cuz in Vegas you can't walk around Or do anything. So I rather pay 900 bucks just to go to Texas. And it comes with a ticket to see Eminem.

You need to have a high-end Escort companion every night if you can afford to stay at Nobu and that would be $5K x 3 nights another $15K 😂😂😂.

Hey Kym, as an unusual American who's a real long tine fan of f1, been watching since I was a kid in the 90s. I would Never go to the lv gp.. I would so much rather go to spa or Silverstone, or even Mexico or Brazil would be better GPs to see, but Vegas is for the foreigners to come see the big party city of America. So, you all (aka ya'll) enjoy your weekend in Vegas and we will go there any other weekend. Haha. All in good fun. Love ur passion.

Can't think of much worse than going to Vegas .... it's Blackpool in the desert with a bit more money washing about.

G’day. Nice summary of the options to attend from one extreme to the other. As a Southern California F1 fan for many decades (I went to Long Beach and Phoenix and even Dallas that one time in 1984), I was very excited to have an F1 race close-enough to drive to. When the ticket prices and viewing options were announced for last year, it was impossible to justify for myself and our small group that gathers to watch every F1 race together.
We decided to go to Montreal this year. As you noted, total cost was cheaper to go to a European (or different North American) race. Yes, they had horrible rain, but we got on site before the venue was “closed.” Montreal is a beautiful city passionate for F1. We had a great time.

As a multi millionaire I didn’t get here by wasting money going to Vegas

Went there last year and it was complete shit show. I would never go there again. I have never seen so much ugliness in one spot before. 😂😂

Last year I used miles to book a flight to Vegas, and stayed at the MGM signature balcony suites. Watched the Harmon section of the circuit from the room, and also had the TV broadcast playing in the living room. 🏎️

Coming from Australia every race is expensive & going to Melbourne is a nightmare to get tickets.

It’s crazy how many people are shunning this race because it’s vegas and “expensive”…

Having gone last year I found it to be similar cost to Silverstone.

More hotel options than any other race, more restaurant options, travel costs are low as you can walk everywhere.

Biggest cost was the flight out to Vegas (which in comparison to flights in Europe, was nearly similar price!).

Do your research and you can definitely do this race on a budget!

As someone who lives in Las Vegas and has frequently gambled consistently and usually have dinner at the restaurants inside the cosmopolitan hotel I was able to book a room overlooking part of the track. Booked the same thing for this year. As a local resident it’s great knowing certain hotel employees for weekends like this!

$960 for the 5 star tasting menu? I guess that means very small portions if it's just a 'tasting menu.' So you'll probably need more food unless you have a head full of coke. Tasting menu is probably perfect for rich people with a head full of South American stimulants, accompanied with several alcoholic beverages. Probably set aside $1500 for a full single dinner at Guy Savoy on GP weekend, if you don't have a head full of stimulants from South America.

There's a few hot celebs I would like to see in person, but I don't have a Las Vegas GP budget, and the idea of dealing with Vegas doesn't excite me at all. It sounds like a very expensive pain in the bum. TV sounds like a better option

Kym - a suggestion - do a review of the best races for on track action, support races etc. some of us, possible these days we are a minority, are actual racing fans not much interested in the celebrities or fashion.

Always nice to see how down to earth kym is.... If you're not in the top 1%, don't even bother going to the GP. I'm in the top 5% earners in one of the wealthiest european countries but I couldn't afford much more than the budget option, with those ticket prices...

i cant remember if the race was exciting cause the schedule was awful, a mclaren went off and a ferrari was unfairly penalised at the track's fault so we missed a lot of action

i might be at the mexico city gp next week, but only if a friend is able to get us a couple of free passes. prices for tickets at mexico city are extortionate. austrian gp tickets at the end of turn 1 are quite reasonable. i tell my cousins to come to austria and it will not cost them more than attending at mexico city.
have to fly there for family reasons. coincidence that the gp is on while i am there. and i won't have to pay for hotels which would have inflated prices also.

I despise having the wealth pushed into my face as if I'm a nobody. Well sorry but I can't afford to attend the Australian GP eventhough I'm in Sth Aust (only 9hr a drive to MEL).
F1 is full of stuck up elitists and the politics and bullshit is definitely causing me to lose interest. Catching the 7'ish minutes of the highlights on YT has to work for me.

Due to medical issues for a last couple of years I’ll be watching the races from bed on my iPad. It may be cheap but it’s not as much fun as being there.

TheF1 powers that be, have totally priced the sport into territory that isn’t ‘sustainable’ while lowering the Fan factor on site, Miami , Vegas , Dubai etc… all point to that.

private transport company that contracts with the hotel I'm staying at is forcing a minimum of 12 hours a day for a total of 4 days. They will not do regular pick up and drop offs. The minimum cost would be $6,475. Even airport transfers for this company were quoted at $450 where an Uber Black is $60. I get it but juuuust a bit much.
