I love the direction Games Workshop took with these Space Marine models. They just look fantastic.
ОтветитьI think the starter set is going to be closer to know no fear and first strike.
ОтветитьYesterday I went to my local GW shop here in the States for the first time since the Covid 19 events. I was very frustrated with the lack of information available regarding when pre-orders would start or the price in USD. Also very disappointed to learn that even if I pre-order the box set in the store it would still be shipped to my home instead of the store. {Porch Pirates are a huge issue where I live.)
ОтветитьFORGET BUYING N PAINTING ALL THIS who just wants that captain laugh out loud
ОтветитьI'm not a fan of buying a ton of random minis, even at a slight discount. I just buy what i want in my army.
ОтветитьIsn’t this more equivalent to Shadowspear?
ОтветитьImo we are lying to ourselves to think its £120. It's going to be more like £200. Just count the models in and estimate the prices, then add the rulebook which is £50 and it's a special edition. The Luminoth set they just released is £110 and it doesn't have half the models.
ОтветитьIt's not a "starter set" because it will be produced in a single production run and that's it.
ОтветитьIndomitus could be a Starter Set if it included steps on what else you need to get going (i.e. dice, measure, etc) that's not in the box. Price will always be a barrier; new players may not mind paying for the box and a couple of extra £ for bits, but £125/£150 might be a bit steep as a gamble for some. I like the idea of a getting started bundle for each faction e.g. Rule book, Codex, Start Collecting Box, Dice, Ruler for maybe £70-£80. Not as straight forward to mass-produce like a Starter Box, but it's using existing GW stock (may just need a specific outer box for packaging) and allows a player to get a faction they want!!
ОтветитьMight be they are looking to seriously change folks's a expectation for the box, and with it the price point. If they'd release a significantly higher pricepoint than 120 now, people would flip. Hence they trying to get rid of the starter box perception. Cause with the word starter comes the word cheaper, and im fearing indomitus is not intended to be that
ОтветитьAll I want is the rulebook, but I'll probably just buy this if it's a good deal.
ОтветитьWe habe a trailer with 3 factions.
So in my opinion we see a starter box with the sisters of battle and necrons (we don't even have a normal mono faction starter box of the sisters) would make sense.
But let's see if GW risk to create a starter box without the best selling marines
The question is, if I just want the cool space marine characters, do I buy the set and flip the rest or buy off ebay?
ОтветитьSM minis in this box arent super easy to paint for a beginner. I would recommend for beginners to pick up know no fear or just primaris starter (space wolves or vanguad one)
ОтветитьI'm Guessing 250$ USD
ОтветитьIts got a bloody core rule book in it! How the fuck can people say its not a starter set? I mean compare this to the Dark Imperium box.
ОтветитьI really do want this box, and have no interest in the Necrons. I started getting in to the hobby, via Kill team, just before the big lock down. All I have right now is Know no fear, First Strike, and some add-ons. I am pretty excited about a new edition to jump in with.
ОтветитьMy guess is the Starter will be this "limited edition" box with less models and characters like the Volkite Lieutenant being exclusive to the limited box
Ответить50% off? So.... $400?
ОтветитьIMO, Know no Fear is a more appropriately sized starter set than Dark Imperium. I bet GW uses something that size for their starter.
For someone on the fence about Warhammer, 160 USD is big investment. Then once you get the kit, the Dark Imperium model count is a little intimidating.
Kinda worried about how limited it'll be, my local store owners only having 4.
ОтветитьI recon the starter set will be sisters and necrons. Given sisters got a whole refresh and they are prominent in the trailer.
ОтветитьEverything is push fit, so they will get repackaged into a starter set or start collecting box somehow, including the single sprue characters.
Dark Vengeance had a few non push fit characters that got omitted in future printings.
This does give them the possibility to sell 2 starter sets to players.
ОтветитьUSD $150. Possibly more expensive for folks in Australia. I really hope they won't be though, but if GW has anything consistent... It's the ridiculous price conversion.
ОтветитьIt's not worth it for me I have just ordered a whole BA army from ebay and none of them have jump packs
Ответить"Limited Edition". I do not trust GW with that since Castellan Draco (4th Edition), and Spacehulk. :D
ОтветитьDo we have a price for indomitus
Ответитьlooks less like good value to me personally. Necrons are not what I would collect for a second army. I am returning to 40K after not playing for a while (2nd Ed) and I am looking to build a space marines army, concentrating on a (mainly) phobos armoured troops. So stand alone rules or see if a starter box set becomes available.
ОтветитьDark Imperium has gone last chance to buy so what is this box then?
ОтветитьAll the "Start Collecting" boxes come with standard troops, so do First Strike, Know no Fear, Dark Imperium. The Indomitus box does not I guess, Assault Intercessors should be Fast Attack. I think a Starter Box should give you the bare minimum of an army to build from that. But the Primars part of Indomitus lacks the standard troops. So if there will be a 9th starter box it will most likely contain regular Intercessors. Maybe 10 Intercessors, 5 Assault Intercessors and the Bladeguard Veterans plus two LTs and a Captain.
I think we´ll have to get Indomitus for the Judiciar and the Captain with sword and shield. We still can´t buy a Primaris Ancient or a Captain in Gravis-Armor because they were obviously DI exclusive and at least this special Captains with his fancy ornaments and equipment will probably be Indomitus exclusive.
So now a highly speculative theory : The Dark Imperium Box came with Primaris Marines worth somewhat close to 700pt. Now I think the Starter Box for 9th with its standard troops and its Lieutenants will also be about 700pt. The Indomitus Box will be available like three to four months into 9th (They´ve said it´s limited. I´m pretty sure they´ve never said there will only be a limited number, it could also be limited by time). If you combine your 9th starter Box with the elite and fast assault heavy Indomitus Box you will end up with a pretty balanced 1500pt army of Necrons and a 1500pt army of Marines. So now just imagine two young boys (or girls) about 14 years old visiting their local GW because they´re interested in playing 40k. They will of course be recommended to buy the Starter Box because they can split it in half and save money ect. Then maybe there will be a discussion about who gets the rulebook and that´s the point where the employee intervenes and shows them the Indomitus Box. Remeber, they saved some money because they thought everyone has to buy his own box. The employee tells them that their rulebook discussion is over because Indomitus comes with one as well. He further tells them that they would end up with two 1500pt armies, ready to play even at tournaments. The boys will be like "Yeah, that´s cool and a really good deal. But it´s a lot of money though, we have to think about it." "Sure, no problem. But you´ll save lots of money with the boxes and the second one is limited time only!" Like I said, highly speculative, but I can imagine that someone at GW thought the same way.
I'd love more cardboard broken walls, boxes and mats to give people something to spice up the out if the box experience.
ОтветитьStill waiting on new Khorne Berserkers... I've been sitting here for 20 years...
Ответитьsince it's ALL Push-Fit, we can't say the price.
Without push-fit, 280€ would be my guess. Maybe even 300€
With push-fit, 180€. I hope 120-140€
I need those Primaris for my sons BLACK TEMPLARS!
Are they eber gonna release the price?
ОтветитьAs an amerifat, I'm scared this box will end up being priced way out of my range. I predict £150-£175 which translates to around $200-$250 in GW conversion rates. The fact that they are taking so long with the price scares me even more.
ОтветитьIt's a slap in the face this will be limited, as it's the first release for Blood Angels, Black Templars, White Scars and Space Wolves that make sense for Primaris.
The first actual close combat Primaris. Fcking bullshit they make this one "limited" just because they forgot to put in some cheap dice and a measuring stick
When can I pre-order this box set?
ОтветитьI would like to know the difference between Assault Intercessors and Current Intercessors... are we just going to have an option to gain one attack and lose our longer range? Or will they be two different units?
ОтветитьGoing to just fish eBay for Necrons after release when all the smurfs put half the box up for sale and the price dilutes. Stops GW getting some cash too.
ОтветитьPlease say 'I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti'
ОтветитьI would guess that the price is $210 US. GW just had a give away contest and the prize was for a box of that amount.
ОтветитьGreat video, just wish you had a bit more emotion in your voice. It's hard to stay awake. Bhhgufcivivobgtlyyuuuuuuuuno l zzz
Ответить"An edition without a starter box"
Only 7th edition kids will remember
Heard rumours of a £200+ price tag for it. Looking at it, bucket loads in there.
ОтветитьI've been considering getting into 40k for a few weeks and I've been eyeing the Necrons as my main army for some reason... this is tempting T _ T
ОтветитьAs long as the box isn't over 150 including LGS discount... go for it... I'm in
ОтветитьOMG zzz
ОтветитьWhy did GW stop selling indomitus?
Ответить
