I will never let my children watch these remakes with all of the woke trash and race swapping. Woke is woke it's all the same and I see it the same as dog shit on the bottom of my shoe.
ОтветитьWhat is wrong with you people who just cannot remain silently dignified?
ОтветитьIt’s not the live adaptation that’s bad. It’s their dumb and highly stupid takes and changes
ОтветитьTo be honest , if they had chosen to Blonde out her hair it probably would have been criticized anyway. I’m okay with her look. I would however have rather not had her opinion on it at this point. It could have waited a couple months. She could have done a more diplomatic job of answering.
ОтветитьSaw the movie. Long story short, it was good. 9/10.
She looks NOTHING like Astrid. The twins, only the male one looks right, the female one is short and fat. Both of those annoyed me honestly. The twins barely talk except to get a laugh. (No one laughed at them when I watched) Now the actress for Astrid played her character quite well. But it should NOT have been hard to just dye her hair blonde, and take out that rats nest look she had. Or wear a wig. Her looks were not Astrid to me or my family. But she did have the chops to play her.
Nico Parker is 75% white and 25% Zambian.
ОтветитьWoke flop incoming thats blastrid
ОтветитьSound like this niko Parker is just a zegler in the making, original movies you cN be as inclusive as you wants to be, when it comes to a remake and tring to keep to the story, there is no room from this woke crap. To truly be a great actor, artisan, etc. You try to bring to life what the creator made, there are actors that will spend weeks playing the character they was hired on to play, 24 hours a day, 7 day a week. Forweeks before the do any file shoots, so they can bring it to life, those are the greats, I have not seen many movies the last several years that have impressed me and I love movies!!
ОтветитьI haven’t seen the original one in a while so I don’t remember if it was the same, but I think the animated, they’re all Norse, and the live action, they had non Norse looking actors and did an amazing little story change that dragons attacked all over the world, so they all considered themselves Vikings, they were all descended from the greatest warriors from all over the world to take on the dragons in the specific area, so I thought that was a nice change, where it’s not only dragons in one area of the world but the whole of it since many cultures all over the world had some legend of dragons about them long before meeting others, like Native American tribes have legends and Chinese and Norse to name a few, where these legends predate all of their contact with each other, so I find it a nice little change, and again it’s been a while since seeing the original, so I may just not remember it being there and it’s not actually a change
ОтветитьGood, another reason not to watch this. Parker set herself up for this too. Shes making a name for herself as race swapping white people with blue eyes and blond hair
ОтветитьWhy is there a dirty mop on her head?
ОтветитьThe movie was pretty true to it's animation luckily there's no musical in it lol that saved it and the girls casting wasn't that bad 🎉
ОтветитьBruh, who cares if the actor isn't fully white, all that matters is that they have a person to play the part. It's these little things that get people so worked up
ОтветитьI expected Astrid to be pretty and I’m disappointed.
ОтветитьHonestly, letting something as small as hair color get them riled up is a tad immature. Who knows...maybe they didn't have quite enough in the budget for a blond wig or hair dye. From the trailers I saw, they put quite a bit into making sure the dragons, especially Toothless, were very realistic. That takes a lot of money.
As for the hair dye? Bruh...bleach damages your hair big time. And if she would have done it, fans would be even more upset that "she didn't keep it for appearances"🙄
Honestly, people in mass are just impossible to please. Tommy Lee Jones had it right in MIB "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it."
I actually saw the live action I didn’t like that Nico Parker wasn’t a blond, but I half to say I think she played the character very well !
Ответитьthese actress's never learn
ОтветитьCan't they just follow the ACTUAL source material like seriously
Ответитьyoung actresses rly be entitled. they should just shut up and do their job
ОтветитьI thought Disney was all about DEI? Where is my representation as somebody who is Nordic with blonde hair and blue eyes?
ОтветитьOk they should race swap Tarzan next…….
ОтветитьChanging anything will give them a clear white picture when the snow clears.. look at the Mickey Mouse Club
ОтветитьNot white, no blue eyes, or blonde hair.
How was she the best pick for Astrid?
She has none of these features, NOT ONE!
This creates cognitive dissonance within me. It reminds me of the whole blackface thing especially with what she said. which creates this inner conflict of its great that casting has opened up to be more inclusive but if one race isnt allowed to play another then that goes for all of us, no one should get special treatment. but then i also dont give a sh!t if they decide to recast a character as another race especially when recreating old movies that weere made with direct exclusion. But this isnt an old movie and its racial component is completely valid for the setting to the point that changing it would have direct implications to the story. which wouldnt be a problem if they werent trying to faithfully recreate the animated version. which also could have been solved by a wig and contacts but thats in direct opposition to the whole blackface thing.
This is just a mess and either we get over it when it comes to acting and allow races to play one another again now that inclusivity is on the rise, or we draw a hard line and say that casting must be done according to race which is technically a violation of the law when it comes to hiring people. so really that only leaves us one option and its not an option alot of people are going to like because it does leave the door open for abuse.
in the end i will watch it and be happy its faithful to the original. although given that its source material has expanded i think it would have been nice to add some left out material from the books and other little additions like more draqgon varieties in the skys or glimpses of the dragons the group gets in the animated show. that would have fixed what the negative reviews are saying and still been a faithful live adaptation.
on another note im about to boycott disney at this point lmao.
she did a horrible job as Astrid.
ОтветитьIf you “don’t care” and want to show the world you “don’t care” then don’t speak on the subject.
ОтветитьWhy can't we have white stories anymore?
ОтветитьI have no intention of seeing the live action. I’ll just watch the animation
Ответить🙄 there Vikings.
Vikings were white, good lord; they don’t get to race swap some of the whitest people that ever existed.
This is exhausting. 😮💨
Not watching a movie that tries to delete my ancestry because my race is not “inclusive” like it’s supposed to be.
ITS another classic movie that turn garbage.
ОтветитьHonestly, (and this will definitely be controversial) but I agree with her. I’m not tryna like start an argument or anything I just wanted to say that being a different skin color shouldn’t change how well your acting is and I saw the movie (it was phenomenal btw) so I think the casting of her was great. If they are a good fit for the role, who cares what they look like? Again, you can comment against me or whatnot but I’m not trying to start anything, just saying my opinion. ❤
ОтветитьShe just had to take it personally.
ОтветитьNico Parker is definitely no Zegler. However, she does need to be careful, because I want the live-action remakes to be successful and continue, not ruined by backlash. I just watched the new movie and thought it was pretty decent. 🫶🏻🐲
ОтветитьMan just fixed their story telling with a wig. I’d probably say add some blue contacts 😂
ОтветитьIt’s ok to change some things. But don’t go 180 with the basic fundamentals of what makes the animated film special
ОтветитьStill better than what they did with the last of us yeeesh
ОтветитьUnpopular opinion.
I think the movie was great. It was essentially a 1 to 1 copy but made Live Action. It was refreshing and still an amazing experience.
As for the new Astrid, it took a bit to warm up to but she executed the role really well imo. Loved her performance.
The only disappointment in this new LA version were the twins. They were incredibly dull compared to the animated version.
You fucking people! You spew so much hate, so much vitriol, exert so much pressure. And when someone shows class and restraint by saying, "fine. Whatever. Say what you like; I don't care," you just can't take it. I feel sorry for you.
ОтветитьShe was actually in the movie
Ответить"active portrayal" was out the window when they changed Toothless from green to black. I personally wasn't a fan of no blonde hair either, but her hair isn't what makes Astrid, Astrid. Aside from her hair, the actress actually did a pretty good job. The movie was awesome.
ОтветитьThis bish, the Ironheart bish, Amandla, Rachel....
These young heauxs get an incredibly fortunate and lucky opportunity to be on the big screen....
and they can't seem to NOT shoot their effing mouths out about dumbshti.
Why?
I saw a pre-screening of this movie, and that was one of my problems with this live-action. The other issue I had with this movie is they removed the comedy from the animated movie. The actor they got to play Gobber completely removed animated Gobber’s humor, and the other humorous scenes with Toothless and Hiccup are gone as well. There is simply no humor in this new movie. Third, the actors for most characters can’t act, and it shows.
ОтветитьShe's a major character so people will complain when you change her just like they would when you make Black Panther white. Notice no one cared when she replaced a little while girl in Last of Us. It's like complaining about people being mean on the internet.
ОтветитьTrying to imagine her with blue eyes and blond hair... I dont think it would work.
ОтветитьWe didn’t ask for it. Didn’t ask for a race swap either. Not interested.
ОтветитьHistorically, this actually makes sense, as I believe the first Vikings to attack the UK were Danish. I also think this show may be based around Scotland, and the red hair strand may have come through the Gaelic line from Northern Ireland. The problem I have is that you associate the character with attributes, and once you change them, it becomes a new character in the minds of others. Kind of similar thing with T in LGBT, which is why some people struggle to accept it.
ОтветитьNot worth the time or ever-increasing costs to go see a movie when the actors "don't care". Esp for what seems like it will be a CGI-fest.
ОтветитьUsing a black actress definitely wouldn’t fly 🤭 so they had to go with a quarter. It might work.
ОтветитьThat’s just the tip of the iceberg. We know what to expect from this movie.
ОтветитьAs someone with Norse ancestry, they are appropriating my culture! I am extremely triggered and feel as though Disney owes me reparations!
Ответить
