Glad I found this channel.
ОтветитьChaos
ОтветитьGoing through The Last Battle for the first time and getting to that first illustration and description of Tash when they just see him passing through the woods was probably the first time I've been genuinely disturbed by something in a book.
ОтветитьI think CS Lewis does a good job on presenting the last days in LB without going into all the dispute on how it's going to happen.
Shift is the Narnia Antichrist, but I think in some aspect Rishda is also the Antichrist. He's a Calormene and not a Narnian, and he works by lies and trickery when he comes to Narnia in peace. He even becomes a great persecutor of the Narnians, especially the followers of the true Aslan, so it would have been kind of awkward if Shift, a talking Narnian ape and even Ginger, a talking Narnian cat, were the only ones persecuting the Narnians without Rishda, a Calormene, as part of the plot.
The way I see Tash is how Satan will one day reveal his true nature. He brings death and destruction, Aslan brings hope and life.
There is one possibly equal or greater than Aslan. The Emperor Beyond the Sea.
ОтветитьThat’s a dark crystal skesis
ОтветитьReminds me of the skeksis form dark crystal
ОтветитьI’ve always understood it that Tash was NOT the enemy of Narnia. More like another diety, that ISN’T for Narnians. We should not consider that which is different, evil.
ОтветитьTash is the devil of the Narnia world. Just as Aslan is the God of that world.
ОтветитьI wonder what would happen if Sauron showed up in Narnia.
ОтветитьTash is one of the most SCP-like fantasy villains
Ответитьit seems interesting that Tash is basically the apocalypse from Revalation. Correct me if I am wrong
ОтветитьI JUST discovered your channel and omg I’m obsessed. You’ve truly brought an already amazing world even more alive to me. Thank you so much and keep it up!
ОтветитьHey love the lore videos, I want to ask if you could do all the deities of narnia.
Ответить...So he's a Giant Skeksis?
ОтветитьIt just occurred to me, there’s a lot of visual similarities between Tash and the Skeksis from the Dark Crystal. They are both birdlike beings who are pure evil, have 4 arms and are harbingers of chaos and death. Both are revered as deities and “lords”. And, while the Skeksis don’t glide or hover, the way they move is very similar since we don’t see their legs move when they move due to all the heavy clothing.
I wonder, did Jim Henson get the inspirations for the Skeksis from Tash?
Hey new subscriber...Just a tip...Lower the background music a bit, its distraction as you speak over it.
ОтветитьThese are best Narnia videos that I ever watched, thanks for going throught them with me!
ОтветитьI love these Narnia videos I stumbled into! Can you please let me know the background music you used throughout the video? The songs used are so intense and cinematic! Perfect for a being such as Tash and for writing cinematic scenes in my novel writing.
ОтветитьWhen I read this as a kid his image always reminded me of the Skeksis from from Dark Crystal.
Ответить"This is Tash"
Shows picture of Skeksil The Chamberlain
I mean Tash destroyed Narnia in the end. Seems very equal to me, one creates one destroys 🤷🏼♂️
ОтветитьI wil never figure out how people get into religious fantasy.
Religion for me is way to loaded to be mixed with it. And I dont mean fantasy religions, but the ones from the real world.
Narnia with its honest christian values just kills any fun the books might bring
Aslan created Tash.
ОтветитьTash looks like a Skeksis to me. Creepy!
ОтветитьI loved Metroid, but the chozo statues scared me always. They always reminded me of Tash.
ОтветитьThank goodness I found your channel! Couldn't be more grateful.
ОтветитьIf he have 4 arms that means he Has 30 fingers, not 20
ОтветитьWho thinks that Tash is Aslans brother?
ОтветитьSeems like with CS Lewis there's not a lot of info to be gotten outside of the official final published versions. With Tolkien there's the letters and the alternate versions and incomplete works (Histories of the Middle Earth series).
ОтветитьI have been waiting years to bring to fine focus my awareness of the fiction of one of my greatest human-icons, Lewis, and you are the perfect channel to aid me! Thank God for your passion and work :)
ОтветитьI have to say that I was a little disappointed.
I didn’t really think that you addressed the difficult questions, nor assigned sufficient power to Tash.
First, we know that light shines in darkness and darkness does not overcome it. But, Darkness is more powerful than mortals. Tolkien got this right in that Gandalf and co could not withstand the power of the ring, and even Frodo (the best of Hobbits) was overcome by it.
Evil is powerful, and while calling on the name of Aslan may give courage to the caller, it is no panacea.
But the big question you do not address is why, if Tash is as portrayed, would anyone worship him?
And there is also the question of justice. If the Calormens have been brought up to think and act as “servants of Tash”, is it any surprise when they do so? And is it just when they are then destroyed for doing so?
If Aslan is only interested in rescuing good people, what hope is there for you and me?
Why such a different outcome for Edmund and Eustace?
Tash is a max level Skeksis from the Dark Crystal
ОтветитьSo basically a Skeksis on steroids.
ОтветитьWhat a great channel! Thanks for your work, man.
ОтветитьIs that a Skeksis from that one Jim Henson movie?
Ответить👍👍
ОтветитьThe White Witch was Tash's puppet ruler
ОтветитьListening to the description of Tash in the audiobook as a kid gave me nightmares for months haha
ОтветитьTash is a skei😂
ОтветитьMaybe tash is the in verse Caine...something like keldor en he man. The first man and original Prince of narnia but get corrept3c😊
ОтветитьI had recurring nightmares of chimpanzees ticking me to death when I was very young so I already didn’t like monkeys much growing up, so that monkey that made the donkey wear a lion skin was a good bad guy, but then when Tash appeared, approached him, condemning his actions and took his intelligence away, turning him into a feral beast that oozed enough terror and fear that it likely spent the rest of its life running away from was a shocking punishment even for him, not the punishment I’d have thought of first for sure.
ОтветитьRash seems to be one of the elder gods, like cthulhu, and be an inter dimensional
ОтветитьCame back to this amazing channel and video, because, well, gestures broadly at everything
All I can think when I read the news anymore, is "he called for Tash, Tash has come."
If there was no original evil in Aslan's creation event, perhaps tash would be a rebellious angel/star. There could be a scene of tash submitting to Aslan and being judged, but I don't remember him appearing after claiming the tarkaan as prey
ОтветитьTash looks like a Skeksis from Dark Crystal
ОтветитьTo make Tash’s entrance into Narnia more horrifying in a movie of the Last Battle, if done right, how about we have his smoky form appear with the screams and faces of the people sacrificed to him making up his body, with the grass beneath him not only withering, but also leaving a trail oozing with black mud and bloody red slime? And when he shows up inside the stable, let’s have him appear with the sacrificial skulls tattooed all over his body, limbs, and head, wearing gold jewelry from HP Lovecraft’s “The Shadow Over Innsmouth”.
ОтветитьThere are still many Narnian baddies to explore! Who should we cover next? If you'd like to support the work of this channel today and get exclusive access to pre-releases, research notes, and some swag, you can visit www.patreon.com/IntoTheWardrobe
