HOA biting off more than they can chew 😂 Don’t mess with Texas ranchers like Colton!
ОтветитьCant believe Tina thought she could run things in Texas with just a clipboard. 😅
Ответить😅 Portland Oregon
ОтветитьSaid it before must live in the neighborhood 10 years before being able to get a place on the HOA board
ОтветитьIf the residents don't like the noise and smells they should go somewhere else. You can't build next to farms/ranch and expect them to comply with their rules!
ОтветитьSo why would anyone breathing be so stupid as to buy a home next door to something you think will lower property values? That takes an incredible amount to super stupid, don’t you think? Sorry, I didn’t take into account that you don’t have enough brain cells to answer questions. And you said you have two kids? Gatta call CPS because there is no way in heck you can keep two kids alive to age 18. You must have divorced recently, huh? Or did he commit suicide just to get away from waking up next to you every day?
(I can be a real asp sometimes as I put up with far worse in my younger years.)
Some people shouldn't be able to move into places they don't understand
ОтветитьIf there is anything I hate, it’s when someone enters YOUR space, and immediately starts changing things! Like when an HOA is established next door, decades after you arrived, puts down your well-managed mature property, and starts trying to tell you how to live every last detail of your life! Are there no strict laws forbidding HOAs from trying to dictate what non-members do, effectively PREDATING their neighbors?
ОтветитьIt’s a FARM, If you didn’t want to live next to a farm, WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE? If you don’t want to live next to a farm, LEAVE!
Ответитьgood
ОтветитьIn Missouri we have a law called Right to Farm, protecting the right to engage in farming and ranching activities , formally enacted in the Missouri Constitution in 1982. Once land is zoned as agricultural, it takes an act of God here to change it without the property owners consent. From what I’ve read most states have enacted similar laws. While I don’t have any one residences to my property, if someone ever complained, I’d tell them “pound sand” and review stale law.
ОтветитьGreat job guy 💪👏 and just do what you going t
ОтветитьThey have no right to tell 😔 you anything 😊
ОтветитьIf they are trespassing on your property and they don't have any say or right to your property
ОтветитьThey're don't know have no right to your property you owen you can make them pay higher rent so funny
ОтветитьShe's a lier and is so stupid and worthless ever she needs to get arrested for it so funny
ОтветитьCharge her for to pay higher rent and not them
ОтветитьStanding your ground with knowledge and patience can turn adversity into opportunity. The transformation of Pinewood Estates shows that unity, transparency, and respect can overcome even the most divisive challenges. 👏🌱🏡
Ответитьcolton brigg lol " the old ways "
ОтветитьThe part that was unbelievable was Tina's apology.
ОтветитьHOA tried to evict you, so you hit back by doubling their rent and blocking their parking lot. That’s not just a comeback—it’s a power move that speaks volumes. Respect!
ОтветитьHOA tried to evict you, so you doubled their rent and blocked their parking lot. That’s a power move that speaks louder than words. Respect for standing your ground!
ОтветитьIf you build or buy a house near what is an industrial area, ( a farm / ranch is basically a food factory!) You should expect the natural noise/ traffic / smells associated with it! PS he should set up pig pens near the edge of his property, very smelly, and noisy, especially at sunrise when they wake up hungry! LOL
ОтветитьAI
ОтветитьI've always found that a good air horn drives people away
ОтветитьHe should build a pigpen in the parcel close to the HOA...he is a farmer and owns the land
ОтветитьI’ve never been prouder of a fellow landowner. He didn’t throw punches—he used contracts and property lines.
ОтветитьWhat about the fact that they built their homes on land that he owned? Never said what was going to happen to that in the story. Just that they now had to pay rent for parking in their vehicles.
ОтветитьOutstanding outcome...
Ответить150 meters... that is not Texas talk. YARDS is what would be in Texas....
ОтветитьMoral of this story?.......
A very wise man once said,
"TRUST, BUT VERIFY"
A sentence to live by.
Since when does a South Texas good ol' boy describe the distance from his property in meters? Yeah, right. It's feet, yards, paces, or spittin' distance...
ОтветитьDetails are important when you write fiction. GPS was still a highly classified military secret until after Desert Storm. Nobody had a county survey map showing GPS coordinates in 1986.
ОтветитьSounds a lot like fiction.
ОтветитьFiction but great story nonetheless
ОтветитьSometimes Karma takes her sweet ass time, but you know she's cooking up something good.
ОтветитьSchool field trips to local businesses like this can be fun, educational, and great for community cohesion.
ОтветитьI love how people think the story is real even though it is expressly stated as fiction in the description!
ОтветитьSomeone who regularly lifts 50lb feed bags doesn't brag about throwing around 50 lb feed bags.....fake
ОтветитьWow, this is honestly such a brilliant story! I love how you stood your ground and turned the tables on the HOA. Not only did you refuse to let them push you around, but you actually found a way to make them pay for messing with you—literally. Doubling their rent and blocking their parking lot? That’s some next-level, genius payback. The way you handled this is both clever and satisfying, and I’m sure a ton of people are going to find this super entertaining and inspiring. Great job!
Ответить500 acres. My dream is to own that much land and farm/ranch it.
For perspective, 640 acres = 1 square mile
That’s not just a comeback—it’s a power move that speaks volumes.
ОтветитьNo bank would have loaned money to build without a survey. Nice story but fiction.
ОтветитьIs that goat standing on the barbed wire fence?
ОтветитьWhile I'm on this guy's side 100% and he did everything he needed to to protect his property and rights, I do have one question: Why didn't he work with the city to try to move the 50k zone they bought to be where the current HOA is after he got Tina out of the community & in legal trouble, and the HOA had shown they had a proper turn of attitude after she left? I get making it as a threat while the trouble is still ongoing, and maybe for like 2-3 yrs afterwards max so he could make good on the road and lighting promises he made but there would have been a lot of good faith on both ends if he did work with the city to move the zone as the HOA members would be happy to no longer pay for the parking/access and he would already have all of those acknowledgement and protections not only in the HOA agreements they all signed, but ALSO in the zoning agreements made by his grandfather. I get getting something for your trouble for a while but bleeding them indefinitely for that money makes you come across as the asshole ngl. (For those not wanting to do the math: at 2-3 years, with 47 members at 300 per member that's 28,200-42,300$, which should be more than enough to fulfill his promises he said and have a little bit left over for himself.)
ОтветитьNow, how did you get that goat to perch on the fence?
ОтветитьAll these stories have a poor fact.
If someone was an owner for 40 years, and was met by a resident let alone a president of any organization, would at that point go to the county and state inspector, and have currently dated documents on land use, HOA guidelines, and public tax records.
Then, this would stop as soon as it started...
I live in a right to farm state. None of this would happen here.
