yeah that was one we had once. Surprisingly, ours was really well kept and intact.
ОтветитьI have l13 something, from Toshiba, purchased 2015 .
It was one of the best in my college.
Broke thousands of times so I can't count, and first i was a regular customer to a technician who knows what to do with it, but after a few years I became my own technician and i do repair until 2019 .
I stopped repairing hinges and now i have a broken case with non functioning keyboard and dead battery and lcd with a big black circle 😅...
I do fix other laptops and pcs but mine is not a priority 😂😂😂
i am using one right now and my feelings are hurt
ОтветитьI have a celeron model with an ssd and I use Linux mint on it, never had any issues
ОтветитьI had one that was nearly the same your customer's. It was mediocre at best and gradually became damn slow after 2 years, then the hard drive failed.
ОтветитьMSI has nearly as bad build quality nowadays on their budget laptops. Mine is falling apart, half the chassis clips have broken around the site of the heat vent on the left, the entire right hinge casing has completely shattered, and pretty much any amount of small plastic bits have broken off due to complete lack of structural integrity and heat. Their software is also some of the worst I've seen in the industry. Don't be like MSI.
ОтветитьI owned one and honestly I ditched it because it was a slow piece of shit even with the SSD I swapped in, lasted me surprisingly enough but my battery was shot by the time I replaced it and the display was starting to develop dead pixels
ОтветитьI bought one in 2014, still works till today. Cleaning ut regularly
ОтветитьMy Toshiba portege m780 motherboard died a long time ago
ОтветитьI had a Toshiba but then the graphic card broke
ОтветитьI literally owned one of these but it had a celeron instead of an i3 💀 😂 I can't confirm it's the worst laptop I've ever owned by a long shot
ОтветитьHave a few other models of Toshiba!
ОтветитьMy first laptop was a toshiba, first day i got it, it overheated
ОтветитьI had an old Toshiba back in the day. Built like a brick and weighed about two of them
Ответитьmy mom had a Toshiba I used to play Minecraft on it every day when I was 6 to 8 years old, then after that, it never booted again 😭😕🗣️🗣️🗣️
ОтветитьI had a toshiba dynabook r734/M that have a broken gpu and becomes hot everytime it turns on. Can no longer turn on even with charger.
ОтветитьI have a Toshiba L30 if I remember correctly, I started playing with it one day and here I am self-hosting my AI and using Arch by the way. I also upgraded her CPU, but broke some outer casing bits on the way (which is quite sad, it's the device I learned to read on)
ОтветитьI can't even count the number of times I worked on that exact model you have in the video.
ОтветитьUsed my dads old Toshiba that originally came with Windows 7. It ran good for a while, but after the battery decided to give up on life, it was on a downwards spiral until it succumbed to its old HDD (it still runs, but painfully slow. Its better off as a paper weight now)
ОтветитьBro I literally have this lap rn
ОтветитьYes, lasted less than 4 months.
ОтветитьSome cheap HP Pavilion laptops don't have good build quality. My HP Pavilion 15-cs0053cl (i5-8250U, 12 GB RAM) was in the intermediate price range ($549.99 before the sale discount at Costco) and has held up reasonably well. Although now out of warranty with no parts available, it is still certified for Windows 11. It runs fine, especially after I replaced the HDD with a SATA SSD. The ENVY consumer laptops and business laptops from my former workplace seem to be fine to me, although I am just an ordinary user and hobbyist (retired engineer) and not a professional technician. I have had cheap HP and Dell laptops die after only a couple of years.
ОтветитьThe only Toshiba products in my house are a pair of somehow still functional CRT TVs from 2003. However, they are very clearly showing their age: on the light gray one, the VCR stopped working so anyone wanting to watch old VHS cassettes needs an external VCR, and the black unit has developed a very noisy screen that will display a fuzzy image for a few minutes until the picture tube warms up. It has been ages since I've tested the built-in VCR, but as far as I know, it still works. Because my old Toshiba TVs were built in 2003, both of them need a DTV converter box since analog TV is no longer available in the US outside such video accessories that can transmit the analog video they can understand from a digital source converted from HDMI to RCA or RG-6/11 at 60-66 or 66-72 MHz.
ОтветитьMy Toshiba laptop disintegrated after 3 years of use. The only solid part in was the aluminum top cover
ОтветитьDont you dare disrespect the Buick. They're perfect
ОтветитьMy grandfather has one of these
ОтветитьReally good I have a 2010 Toshiba and it is still working
ОтветитьI’ve watched South Park. And I know what my Mom will do if I own a Toshiba.
ОтветитьI hated these laptops, annoying to fix
ОтветитьMy first laptop was Toshiba Satellite (something) loong time ago and build quality was okay but just 2 weeks after a year fan stopped spinning (no power to the fan) and shortly after that just stopped powering on. I still have the mother oard somewhere... 🤪.
ОтветитьWait till bro trys the gateway gwtc116-2bl
ОтветитьMe having a Intel Celeron as my CPU that is even slower
ОтветитьI had a Toshiba but I can't remember the year or model.
I remember it left me with a burning desire to seek only the most superlative of hinge quality though.
My family had 2 Toshiba Laptops. I believe it was the Satellite series from 2016. One of them quit/became irrelevant because of other faster computers around 2021. The other survived until this last year. It only died from its outdated mechanical hard drive. But otherwise it was a good laptop. Honestly i don't remember it's prime but it lasted a while.
Ответитьi used to have two Toshiba laptops
it would struggle load yt videos
and broke easily asf
NOT THE BUICK
ОтветитьI had one of those, what a tank...
Slid off a table, fell in the ocean, dried up, worked fine for another almost 8 years...
Fell off a table, nothing, used for almost 10 years, the hinge gave out but the thing was solid tbh.
I have a toshiba with an intel celeri, built like a tank but couldn't run notepad and caculator at the same time even in 2012 but it wont break. Had a toshiba satelite something with an i3. It overheated and died after 2 years 😂
ОтветитьI remember repairing a lot of these Toshiba models back in 2017 on a computer servicing centre, laptops with broken screen hinges, dead dedicated gpus and broken mechanical hard drives. Literally Garbage.
ОтветитьI had a Toshiba Sattelite A-55 which I always considered the worst laptop ever. Had a built-in dvd drive and right out of the box I set it up and tried to play a movie. The thing shocked my ears the moment I inserted headphones. Not a little shock either.⚡️
ОтветитьI have Toshiba that has a lock
ОтветитьI owned an toshiba laptop and i could barely play minecraft 1.12 with 15fps on lowest settings
ОтветитьI I owned a toshiba tv which worse than my grandma
ОтветитьI had a Toshiba satellite E205 and it had an i5 with windows 7. The network driver didnt work and niether did the Ethernet port. So I tried to use a windows 10 disc and it fucked the pc. I couldn’t use it, it was just a black screen no matter what. So I finally got a Dell Insperion 15 3850 which is sooo much better than what I had.
ОтветитьI think it's the exact same as our old family laptop😭😭🤣
ОтветитьOmg I had one exactly like this and the build quality was horrible and the hard drive slowed down so fast.
It still technically works because I went in and put things back together over the years but the casing has cracks and holes in it because of the britle plastic
My CPU's even slower, I use an AMD based HP from something 2012 or something, still it runs my office tasks and games like CIV 5 just well on Win 10
ОтветитьI have a toshiba satellite a35 s159. works like a charm ever since the day i got it.
ОтветитьI have a Toshiba satellite pro c650 and I have the same problem broken hinges
ОтветитьPrior to 2014, Toshiba made REALLY GOOD laptops. I had one in 2010, it was a tank. Of course some had design flaws and other issues, but nothing that had to do with build quality. In 2014, they were in the midst of losing MASSIVE amounts of money, so they responded by making the cheapest possible laptop and completely decimating their reputation before they sold 80% of their computer division to Sharp, who then bought the other 20% later on.
