Jesus the size of this project is just mind blowing!
ОтветитьNuclear costs 6x what renewables do and takes 10 years to bring online. Hinkley was estimated at £9 billion, but it’s already 10x over budget at £92 billion. China is installing renewables at a rate of 5 nuclear power station equivalents per week. The only possible reason for nuclear power now is to make fuel for nuclear bombs.
ОтветитьSolar and batteries make this redundant
ОтветитьNuclear power is disgusting
ОтветитьIt’s sad to see how many people aren’t educated on the benefits of nuclear energy. They think something like Chernobyl will happen ignoring that Chernobyl was an old poorly designed reactor that only blew up due to them preforming a dangerous test.
These new ones are extremely safe and will help ween us off fossil fuels and eventually we can switch to renewables fully as the technology matures. But in the meantime nuclear is the best option.
Oil and gas are good. Gods created oil and gas for people to use. Oil and gas are real rubbish recycling. Global warming is not caused by oil and gas. Global warming is caused by nuclear explosions that resonated and destroyed the Sun since X-ray experiments from the 1870s and nuclear bombs from 1945. The Alien-Gods have been repairing the Sun since 13th July 2002, have been pulling Earth away since 3rd June 2017, and have been enlarging the Sun since 14th April 2020. Since 20th April 2020, the cooling of Earth by spinning alien flying saucers has commenced. In the absence of nuclear materials, reducing the gravity, the flow of greenhouse gases away from the Earth's surface will result in a temperature reduction to the 1973 level.
ОтветитьWhat rational government would stop construction of critical infrastructure regardless of a "pandemic" or not?
ОтветитьThe only reason this is being built is to create plutonium for weapons. It's not needed to meet net zero...that's a complete lie.
ОтветитьGood that the work seems to be progressing well, so that Rachel Reeves can't cancel it
Ответитьcricky, would have thought it would be finished by now
Ответитьso what about the radioactive waste once its up and running
ОтветитьIs it on time and how long until completion, thanks
ОтветитьIt cannot be zero carbon. #1. you need fuel that gets extracted and transported across the world by Deisel engined machines. Steel made using coke and transported across the globe etc. and when in operation, staff driving their petrol cars to work and suppliers bringing in thier trucks. then you'll need to extract, transport and store spent fuel ( kept for a very long time). So please be accurate before claiming the green high ground. And when we have electric vehicles, unless your supply chain is 100% non Co2 emitting you cannot claim to be carbon neutral - ever
ОтветитьYes sure it is needed to build close to water in case of pollution it will affect whole world against to ground on fcked coutry
ОтветитьWho's paying for this 48 billion French cross Chinese venture?
EDF uk are massively in debt and we will be paying for it.
Meanwhile, China installed 5 nuclear power stations worth of solar PV per week last year.
ОтветитьDid he mention how late it was or how much over budget? 5 years late at least and 100% over budget...
ОтветитьZero carbon energy 😅, it leaves our grandchildren a massive impact. Yep I know they are more efficient but, hey let's stop believing the Zero Carbon story.
ОтветитьForget this carbon zero bullshit - bring back coal dug by British workers for cheap reliable energy .
ОтветитьEDF you robbing bastards
ОтветитьTop notch..
ОтветитьStill shifting Highly Radioactive/Enriched Uranium fuel rods onto a small train about 20 metres from a Primary School in Bridgewater ?
Ответитьyes we want cheap bills for once
ОтветитьWhy Go for such an incredible expensive plant? We Need to Pay a Price higher than market Price.
ОтветитьThat site is absolutely massive must be one of the worlds biggest construction sites
ОтветитьHow the fuck will it supply zero carbon electricity what kind of nonsense English are you talking?
ОтветитьOh my God and I was trying to go there to work in Tesco’s and you are building a nuclear power Plant there 😡😡😡😡
Ответитьeverything designed in france, turbine, core and steam generators designed and built in france
ОтветитьIt will cost 46 billion USD for 3.26 GW. The most expensive reactor in the world. US Vogtle reactor (2.2 GW) costs $34 billion USD.
ОтветитьBEHIND HINKLEY POINT C APPARENCE
After more than a year and more than 80 LinkedIn articles written on Hinkley Point C, EDF hasn't even tried to convince me that I'm wrong and they are in compliance with the UK regulation, which is what anyone in good faith and with common sense would do. I haven't been publicly vilified either. Nor have I been sued for revealing information and facts protected by confidentiality obligations. The managers of EDF and its subsidiaries waiting for my action to end, avoiding in every way that this could turn into a criminal case. Hence the idea for the next step, to report myself to the British Justice system to force criminal proceedings against me in which EDF and its subsidiaries will have to publicly address the facts and evidence I have collected. Below is the self-report I submitted:

Subject: 12-04-23/SCH3/ZADRA/RETENTION-NON-URGENT - Self-report for the illegal dissemination of confidential information relating the nuclear security of UK's critical infrastructures
Dear Sir or Madame,
with reference to the case mentioned in the subject, I want to inform I have decided to leave the United Kingdom permanently and, at the same time, I decided to self-report to British Justice for the reasons below mentioned.
With great disappointment I must accept that the United Kingdom’s energy transition plan is at the mercy of incursions by organizations such as EDF and its subsidiaries. These entities, by abusing the public resources made available to them, and through altered reporting and misleading propaganda, do not hesitate to put the future of the British at risk both in terms of energy security and nuclear safety and security. These organizations are taking advantage of the weakening of the UK's governance and judicial powers to protect national interests, to prioritize transnational interests that conflict with the national main goals.
More than a year has passed since I was arrested at Heathrow Airport under false accusations. During this time, I have exhausted all possible ways to fulfil my “civic duty to report” what I have observed and directly lived within the critical infrastructure under construction called “Hinkley Point C”. Using all the diligence I was capable of, I went patiently from one governmental body to another denouncing that “Hinkley Point C” is being intentionally managed unethically and illegally, putting at risk both the national energy security and the long-term nuclear safety and security robustness. I have in vain provided concrete evidence of what I claim. The sole result I obtained were the attempts to deprive me of this evidence. Yourselves are one of the actors involved in these failed attempts.
None of the governmental entities I approached rejected my complaint, including the judicial commissioners involved in my case. The representations I presented were very detailed but were ignored. “Impressive” was the term adopted by a judicial commissioner, but none demonstrated the interest that diligent officials in an effective government or juridical service should demonstrate. Simply, as it happens in any obsolete, excessively bureaucratic, and often corrupted or politically influenced public service, I was redirected each time to another agency with the justification of non-competence. None of these services considered doing their duty informing the agency that should have been competent in the matter concerning my claims.
Mine has been a journey whose stages have represented shameful aspects for a nation that considers itself at the top of the civic development pyramid. Just as an example, my right to be protected as a whistleblower was simply trampled on, allowing my person to be exposed to false accusations, bribery attempts and more. My long journey finalized at the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) where I found individuals with very bureaucratic attitudes, lacking the necessary competence, and scared of possible individual responsibilities. ONR first refused to listen to me through a silence that lasted many months. Then, faced with my insistence to be listened to, they subjected me to a tortuous and onerous path whose completion will give me the "right to report" the anomalous facts to my knowledge and will give me the right to provide the evidence that I have diligently collected.
ONR people want me to believe that “my duty as a taxpayer citizen to report” anomalous situations are instead a privilege conditioned by its correct formal fulfilment. An absurdity given that the ONR’s primary duty is to ensure the national interests in nuclear safety and security matter. The bureaucratic burden cannot be borne by the whistleblower, it would be contradictory with the regulation that promotes the action of whistleblowers. As result of my interaction with ONR emerged a case of omission of due acts and clear evidence that relevant conflicts of interest are going on within the management of this regulatory body.
I concluded that the evidence of conflicts of interest and official omissions gathered during the attempts to report the anomalies that I identified are just as serious as the initial ones. This highlights a United Kingdom that has lost its governance and the legal capacity to defend the national interests by adequately counterbalancing the overbearing private interests that a project like "Hinkley Point C" brings with it. Given the impossibility of being able to carry out my “civic duty to report” through the paths designed by the Law, I decided to leave the country and, at the same time, self-report to British justice for the below described crime.
In consideration that the energy security and nuclear safety and security of the United Kingdom take priority over the legal integrity of a humble taxpayer such as me, I decided to commit a criminal infringement to force British justice to listen to me. I published on various servers with public and unrestricted access (i.e. This is my True Story in EDVANCE UK - Documents) all the confidential information in my hands about the “Hinkley Point C” critical infrastructure. I’m aware that some of this information, once made public, creates an unrecoverable breach in the nuclear security of the future nuclear station “Hinkley Point C”. This includes information that the Counter-Terrorism Service unsuccessfully attempted to extract from me in April 2023 at Heathrow Airport. To prevent the information being easily removed from public access, I have chosen servers located both in the Russian Federation, in the People's Republic of China and other countries. Furthermore, I publicized access to this information through social networks which are difficult to censor like Telegram, VK, etc.
My action intentionally breaches British law and must be considered a crime. I trust that by self-reporting my action I will be able to achieve my goal by arriving before a British Court, tell them what I saw at “Hinkley Point C”, talk about the obstacles found in reporting the facts, provide the relevant evidence not yet made public and explain the reasons for this extreme act.
I am convinced that without this ultimate action, the aspects of “Hinkley Point C” affecting nuclear safety and security and UK's energy security will be ignored, and new irregularities will inevitably emerge will find fertile ground to be kept hidden. In the absence of corrective action and In the sole favour of private interests, these intentional neglects will become a risk to the public and environment safety, and a significant detriment to the British economy.
For the reasons set out above, I ask you to consider this message as a formal self-report for the illegal dissemination of confidential information relating to UK’s critical infrastructures.
Lastly, I kindly ask you to apply in the extension of this case at least the same diligence that has been spent to pursue absurd hypotheses such as trying to demonstrate that I was a spy for the Russian Federation.
Without anything else to add.
Best Regards,
Mario Zadra
EDF owned by Energy of France 😅😅😅👎🇬🇧
ОтветитьSolar wind and battery can be built for millions and take years to finish, Nuclear Power takes billions of dollars and requires decades. Then the nuclear plant will run around 30 years (which is typical) and you have a high level spent fuel problem that needs to be buried for 10,000 years. However, the DOE hasn't approved transport routes, transport casks, or a national repository after 60 years of trying. No one is willing to expend the political capital to get this done. The result is in the US we have 92 nuclear power stations with high level spent fuel "temporarily" stored in their backyards.
ОтветитьWhy can't you answer? I'm interested?
Ответитьso 5 of these and we can have cheap electric, seems easy to me.
ОтветитьHinkley Point C, generously subsidised by the French taxpayer.
ОтветитьWhen will Wlfa power station on Anglesey be built?
ОтветитьThat’s some insane skilled engineering!
ОтветитьGreat update, but can you please stick with shots for a few more seconds and get rid of the ridiculous, jumpy editing style? You can't see anything properly and it's very distracting.
ОтветитьI think you need some more cranes.
ОтветитьThis is the future
ОтветитьThe designers, architects and engineers never cease to amaze me.The things that seem impossible are possible in the quest of human endeavour.
ОтветитьThe Germans' greens are sucking on a corn cob right now, riding on a spinning blade. Greta is still Tumbling somewhere in Sweden.
ОтветитьHinkley Point D when?
ОтветитьGood job men.
ОтветитьLet's hope it never has occasion to go super-critical and turn the land for tens, or hundreds, of miles around into unusable wasteland. Nuclear fission based energy generation has it's place in a cleaner energy future, but that place is, ideally, small and transient.
Ответить:-) British velder with makeup is amazing, but probably not for velding.
ОтветитьI hope the French will not only build this site, but also will run and superwise it afterwards. Because as we know from historical events like Sellafield and Dounreay nuclear catastrophes, brits and nuclear science are bad combination!
ОтветитьAnd the news is that Spain is producing too much solar energy already...
