It kills me that these adults continue to have children and don't take the time to or put in the effort to raise them. They're is no manual to raise children but when you have 3,4,5,6,7, and 8 of them.. WHY? There are amazing people who aren't able to have kids and want kids. I've seen nothing but adults who are completely clueless with several children about what they should do when raising kids. Stop bearing kids.

I’m a daycare provider and I’ve had so many instances of parents thinking their children has a behavioral diagonsis. Like ofc the kids excited and wants to play with you and show you everything! They’re literally at my house mon-fri from 6am-6pm THEY NEVER SEE YOU! When they are picked up they eat dinner they get a bath and go to sleep start over again. It’s only until the weekend when they have them all day and now your child is erratic and you think something is wrong! Breaks my heart.

The parents are jerks, with the father taking the total jerk prize. They can't afford to hire a helper for a few hours a week but they can afford stupid tattoos that cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Where I come from, they are called 'educated idiots.'

I disagree with the idea that spanking is ineffective and never the answer. It should never be the go to but I have worked with children really since I was little. I have many younger siblings and cousins. I started babysitting at 11. I also was a childcare provider. Sometimes you just cannot reason with a child. I learned that you try everything and when that doesn't work you have to ramp it up. I got stuck with the unruly kids at the daycare that I worked in because no one had the patience that I did. That might have been more stubbornness too. I tried so many different techniques at the daycare because I couldn't spank them. I will say that on some nothing worked. One parents wanted us to spank her son because literally nothing we did and nothing she did worked, her youngest was also a biter so that made it worse. I have several nieces and nephews, all of which I was allowed to spank if I felt it was needed. Each one of them have gotten spankings from me. They all learned that I may not spank them often but if I am it is because they crossed the line. I am still one if their favorite people, they respect me, and they listen to me better than their parents half the time. They are not afraid of me in the sense that I am a brute and I hurt them. The respect me enough that just knowing they have disappointed is enough to change their behavior. So I think there is a time and place for physical punishment, after all other avenues have been explored.

I have a son. He is an adult now. I like watching Super Nanny and some of her teachings are a good idea, but I knew that wouldn't have worked with my son. I tried time out once with him, and he tried to sneak out of his grandparents room. So I was like I know time out isn't going to work with him, and I raised him the same way my parents did me. He is a well behaved and liked young man

Dear young people who want kids: my own life as the youngest in a big family, has taught me that there’s NEVER enough (of anything) to meet all the requirements for healthy child rearing with that many. It’s stupid, selfish, and egotistical to think otherwise. If I could have been asked, if I wanted to be born into this particular situation, I absolutely would’ve skipped it… I don’t even have to think about it. I brought zero children into this world, myself, because of my experience in a large family.

I the many years I have followed Jo after raising my three children and doing everything she says to do before ever watching her put the real smack down on parents who care about themselves before they care about their children and the life they are now living with the consequences that they have is beautiful.

I have raised three children while owning and operating three full service salons.

There are no baby daddy or no baby momma.
None of them are on drugs or in prison.

They are incredibly wonderful people who I had the privilege to be their Mother.
We had extremely difficult times but made it through.
I am honored with my first grandson.

Seems like a common denominator in most of these episodes is that the children do not get naps. It is amazing what a well rested child behaves like. The couple in Hawaii....48 and 45 yrs old and children under 5? Wow!!! There is a reason people have children when they are younger....you don't tire as easily and you have more patience. This is what happens when you put career first and wait to have children. I would bet all their friends all have teenagers or early adult children. They should be grandparents not parents.

Wow. One thing that took me awhile with my own kids who are now grown. If I wanted some time to myself or to tend to my younger child, I had to say hey I need to feed “mary” for 30 minutes. You may play with A, B, C. Which one. He usually chose cars lol. It helped me feed her while he played cars or colored pictures. To tell a 4 year old to entertain herself is not usually realistic unless you lay out options or a plan.
