They need to make this sled in a 600etec
ОтветитьThanks Snowtrax enjoyed your reviews on all model sleds this year. Hope you all have a great summer. 35 weeks til thanksgiving. Hopefully it’s snowing here in MN by then. Lol
ОтветитьIt’s a great sled but IMHO the styling of the whole front end/ cowling is ugly.
ОтветитьI'm brand loyal (Polaris) but you have me looking towards the Lynx.
ОтветитьSled of the year should have been a car hood down an icy hill.
ОтветитьRa Ve is the real world worst name for 2022
ОтветитьFinally after more than 15 years that the people of BRP asked for this beast. If SnowTrax TV chose it, there is now a big step to take for the other manufacturers... Well done boys 🥰. Would like to have one with the lighter 600r 🤩
ОтветитьDef some sweet sleds would love a new one but I m running a 2000 polaris rmk with a 144 track .love it runs good best on it and still runs good
ОтветитьFrom the annoucment of the Rave then snowtrax first Rave videos I knew I had to have one which lead me to my very first New sled. I really enjoyed the Lynx Rave alot this season everything you say about it is true it really is fun and being able to just shift around on the seat and go from one style of riding to another is awesome. I cant wait for next season to come already. Thanks for your great reviews and congrats BRP!!!!
Ответить100% agree with your choice! I have personally put on over 2800km on my lynx and have had a smile every time I squeeze the throttle. Like snowtrax said this machine handles huge hits amazingly and is a super playful machine. Would highly recommend this sled!
ОтветитьIt’d be nice if you did some additional behind the scenes videos of all the sleds in your fleet if possible. Did you leave them at the factory settings or adjust the springs and clickers? Also, do you suggest any aftermarket accessories that could address any shortcomings? There’s customers out there for all these sleds and just because theirs didn’t win the shootout doesn’t mean it’s a bad sled. Maybe some adjustments and accessories would make their riding experience much better. I know I wouldn’t complain about you putting out more content.
ОтветитьAt the beginning of the vid, you state that you and the other Snowtrax test riders put “Thousands” of miles (kilometers?) on the test sleds. It would be great if you could do a vid and talk about any service issues you had with the various sleds.
ОтветитьWas a die hard cat guy and have owned a new sled every year since 16...finally was fed up and ghe lynx rave re was my first brp product.... absolutely blew my mind and I'm so disappointed the 2023 isn't in the gen 5 platform...I'm going to try a renegade xrs for 2023 but I will 100% be going back to lynx in 2024 when it's in the gen 5... I just can't spend the 2k more for a 2023 when it's the same sled with more red on the side panel. Maybe I'll just cancel my snow check and keep the lynx another year because it really is incredible
ОтветитьNo way in hell with a spring order delivery date of March 15th!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьWhy two BRP models? Typically you compete with one model from each manufacturer.
ОтветитьVery good video! Good on the context I think too many people buy the "high" end sleds and complain they are too stiff or something along those lines. XCR, Rave RE, and XRS sleds should be for aggressive riders. If you want a Cadillac then buy something like the Enduro. Next season I like what skidoo is finally doing in the MXZ line up, the Blizzard comes with a good shock pkg and features which many trail riders should buy. My self and ride buddies if we buy a non mtn sled it's usually a Race sled as normally the XRS sleds are so watered down they don't told up to our style of riding which is get air born. The Rave is probably the first in season sled I'll buy that's shorter than a 146.
ОтветитьNot too surprised the Rave took it this season. After 2900km on mine this season I dont think you can find a better trail sled for Ontario. The suspension is killer and the sled does not tire you out the same way as any other sled I have driven
ОтветитьThey should make a sled of the year for each category. This is the real world sled of the year for trail riders
Ответить,,,,,yes....hello from land o' lakes,wi.....time to see what won...!...it's a big deal in my world.!....,,as always I wait to see you guys pick this special snowmobile........all these years !!!!........tnx,,,pat......... P.S.,,,,,,,,we are experiencing the best CRUST RUN time of winter---after a warm spell, melt down,,,,and then a hard freez=,10 below last night,,,we can ride ANYWHERE....the best time to point and shoot any sled over anything..!...,,,my favorite part of snowmobiling,,,and winter itself...😯............,,,,,,,can't wait to someday own one of these sleds that you showcase here on your show........great pick,,,incredible sled,,,,.............2022 ....big fan of snowtrax.
ОтветитьHey guys. In one of the previous episodes you mentioned an adjustable limiter but I cannot remember the mfg or contact info?
ОтветитьSo when is SnowtraxTV making a trip to Finnish Lapland? You need to test the Rave where it was born 🙂
ОтветитьI think that’s Polaris’s best sled cuz most of there sleds are short tracks which makes it bumpy er and your sliding every, then the long tracks from polaris are more smoother and they don’t shake around alot
I have the same opinion as you
It’s first year in North America and what a statement Lynx is Making. People say it’s just a beefed up ski doo but their so wrong then they ride it and WOW. GREAT CHOICE GUYS👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьGREAT CHOICE LESTERS!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьGreat 👍
How about bringing the 600 Enduro across the pond for 2024 ?
Still showing the front track shock flipped up. Mine is flipped down from the factory! See Lynx video on how to adjust the suspension and you will see it down.
ОтветитьAwesome video! I’m a Polaris guy but have been intrigued by the Lynx since it came out. Maybe Polaris should copy cat the rear suspension like they did with R-Motion lol.
ОтветитьTotally agree. You can't ride one of these without giggling to yourself. Absolute blast to ride. Anyone able to to grab one in the used market, don't hesitate.
ОтветитьComing from life time on ski doo 17 renegade x 850 14000k absolutely trouble free..I made the switch to a 22 sba 850..mainly cause of the gauges..so far 2700km trouble other than recalls..like the sled more and more I ride it...cons would be seating position knees always jammed into the hood(never stv complain about that and high beam switch way to small..no back up beeper???? And skid is definitely not an Rmotion
ОтветитьBeing a Finnish person ra-ve is natural way to call it because our language is spoken as it is written. Hearing you to call it ra-ve is just hilarious, who told you to do that? BRP? That sounds so funny. Lynx having the largest (only) snowmobile factory in Europe their sleds are also largerly developed here so it would make sense that the name stuck, but propably not. Marketing name that obviously you cant take seriosly and for shure i cant! HAHA! Great sled though, built for riders who like to stay away from the lake ice and really give it a go. Thanks for good report.
ОтветитьBy the way,if Finns would write the name Rave as it is pronounced in english it would be something like "Reiv".
ОтветитьYep, for twenty grand in the states, that's a real sled of the year for your average or even above average snowmobile enthusiasts. Give me a break! Lackluster content coming out of snowtracks lately....
ОтветитьSince this award video sort of represents the end of a season for you I'll put my thoughts here: IMHO the 2022 season was the absolute best in SnowTrax history. You guys were back to just having a ton of fun making videos and gave us (the hard core riders) the info we so badly crave. You represented all brands as well as you could have. You didn't pull any punches, yet didn't get unnecessarily confrontational with your viewers (like perhaps has happened a tiny bit in seasons past). You were creative (ie having a teen do a Venom video). You had the best walkaround videos ever. Well done everyone on staff. Thanks for being a part of an amazing sledding season.
ОтветитьI would love to see you guys compare the RAVE to a switchback assault. I know Polaris sends this set up pretty trail bias, but I would bet the set up I have on my Assault would rival the RAVE, but be a little more big pump limited. Basically, I loosened the limiter strap on my assault and put some weight on the skis through pre-load on the skis and front arm. It wheelies on demand and still handles like a razor blade. Sure, can't hammer some of the big mogals the RAVE probably can, but I can go places off trail the RAVE can't and definitely with more control. Would love to see you guys spend some time on an Assault next winter and really put some time into the setup.... which is probably it's only draw back, time it takes to set up for you.
ОтветитьBased on clutching and handling and the gage package it's the Polaris XCR by a sled length
ОтветитьRave, not Rav-E. One word.
ОтветитьCongrats to Lynx for winning this year! I'm a Polaris guy myself, but I can see why you picked it! The fun factor is definitely something that can't be measured, and in the end, how you feel when you're riding is what's most important!
ОтветитьI am drooling, that suspension is perfect… but my wallet will stay with my 09 MXZ 800R… paid in full… yay carburetor lol… Santa Please give me a RAV ahh 🙏
ОтветитьIt seems you guys like snow rockets what about the average guy that likes to cruise fool around off trail and maybe let her go coming from a older guy
ОтветитьReal world sled? In who’s world? Any trails in Ontario I ride it would be illegal to go those speeds and do those jumps . Not to mention, down right dangerous. Nice review, but not real world!
ОтветитьDoesn't even have LED headlights...common
ОтветитьOur whole suspension philosophy makes no sense,if the trails are beautiful and groomed what difference does the suspension make right? The only time we worry about suspension tuning is when the trails get rough right? So why would we ever really need a soft plush suspension? It makes no sense,I would rather have the stiff suspension that will be of no consequence on smooth trails because" The trails are smooth" and than your suspension is ready and waiting for the trails in the afternoon to get rutted up right?🤔🤔🤔
ОтветитьThis episode makes me want to run out and buy a lynx rave! I just bought a 2022 sidewinder SRX in March of this year, and I haven't had a chance to ride it yet. I'm already thinking I have the wrong sled. Especially, with our trail system in upstate NY.
ОтветитьI am Canadian too and I would not buy a RAVE because I would not want to pronounce RAVE that way and I would not want people trying to correct me all the time.
ОтветитьIf they had these sleds when I was younger which is 35 years ago I would have crashed for sure beautiful sleds love both of them kind of like the color of the Polaris looks old school
Ответить🤣🤣 finally yall can shut bout polaris winning all the time, still polaris for life tho
ОтветитьSweet ya 👊
ОтветитьWow polaris must not have paid your bills for the season about time , good to see a skidoo finally win lol jk good video
Ответитьi Ride a Lynx Xterrain 600R, its not as brutal as a RAVE RE, but in general is just riding a sportbike, look where you want to go, and the Lynx take you there effortless.
tho the snowmobile i had before my Lynx was a Arctic Cat zr 440 with 600EFI from 2001, sooo my Lynx is 20+ year newer and that´s big jump in riding experiance.
Well done Snowtrax TV and congratulations to BRP and Lynx on winning the honours this year 🏆.
A+++
