Hi Arlene, I love many of the Hermes perfumes too, so I was looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this. My favorite is Jour d’Hermes precisely because of the beautifully smooth citrus-grapefruit note. It has such an elegant style too. Hopefully my local Nordstrom has this to sample.

I am glad that you reviewed this one. Someone gifted a bottle to me from the UK to the US. I like this one. This is a very unisex smell and I'd rather it on my guy. I have been wearing it and I do love the strong sharp tart note. The tartness cuts the sweetness, which is why I think it fits better on a man rather than on me. It is not something that I reach for often. It is not an offensive smell at all. I think it is an all-year-round fragrance. I would prefer to wear it in the summer. An absolute love for a guy but a like on me because I am a gourmand lover. Long-lasting. FYI, I have gotten no compliments for this one. I think that it doesn't have a strong projection unless you over-spray it.

Thanks for your review. I smelled it all the airport and it was an instant no, But on the flight home, the scent developed into a different scent which got my attention 😊. Got home and bought the set❤❤❤.

At first I didn’t care for it, but there was something to it that still intrigued me, so I kept smelling it throughout the day, wore it on my wrist, and soon I couldn’t stop sniffing it and thinking about it. It’s true when you said it’s a very complex fragrance. Its scent brings up some memories for me but I’m not sure what lol, but I know it makes me feel really nostalgic, warm, and at peace. I came on here to get someone else’s take on it! I also agree it’s a bit more of a mature scent, which is something I’ve been looking for in a perfume as of lately. I’ll be purchasing this one for sure!

To me, what Barenia and Angel by Mugler have in common is a very prominent honey note - I’m not even sure there is supposed to be a honey note in them but that is exactly what I smell

I love it too ❤I smell it yesterday and it was love at first sniff. It’s not woody and patchouli is not too strong like Chanel.

I absolutely love it and purchased a bottle. But, I can't smell it on me after an hour. I faintly get whiffs on my clothing but lose it on my skin. Sad, because I really like it!

Barenia reminds me of Jour D' Hermes Absolu. I really like it but I think it is gonna be redundant in my collection.

It took me all day and the next day to decide if I like it. It was very confusing the first wear. BUT my nose is adjusting , it’s quite beautiful on my skin once it has dried down.

the scent itself is good, but unfortunately it is not at all persistent and I don't understand why. It seems like a perfumed water because it disappears immediately... such a pity.

What e great review of this scent! I'm kind of loving it too! It is so different from most releases these days, complex - I'm not finished figuring it out yet at all, but I'm craving it. For me it is, sharp, dry, fruity, thick and earthy. Your comparison with the grapefruitnote in Monsieur Li and Jour'd Hermes is spot on!

I smell a lot of flowers at the dry down.

It reninds me Angel and Cartier Baiser volee and also I feel a ressemblance of Un Jrd Sur Le Nil, due to Geraniol and citronelal traces it leaves. With patchouli and bergamot I get a wonderful cool, sweet and sour white tea vibe. I love it!

I am about to try this one too even it is female targeted. i love HERMES for not following trends and doing something different. I had few bottles from Jardin collection, Concentre d'Orange Verte, EDT Terre and perfume too, now I own Givree. I wasnt sure about H24 EDT as i felt there is something synthetic or ingedience giving me light nausea. I tried also EDP and Herbes Vives but still wasnt sure of the scent or the performance. It is nice Hermes offers to combine and select more scents into small gift pack I guess I will do it for those I consider. Can you please tell us what website do u use for samples? I live in germany and I think I might use it too, Thank you!

I was starting to think i was the only one who loves this scent. As you said, it’s a unique scent but also pretty. I find myself wanting to sniff it over and over again. Those are the scents I just fawn over.

Hi, so intriguing to read all the reviews here! I was sampling this and the more I was wearing it the more interesting and addictive it got. I ended up asking 4 samples in the store and now I bought a full bottle. The opening is still quite sharp and fresh, sometimes a bit challenging still but then it develops into something very smooth woody elegant clean kind of smell! This is soooo beautiful and addictive. Apparently it gives a nice scent trail because two of my friends bought it after they smelled it on me! I am wearing it now in the cold during skiing and it works amazing ! Stays on my sweater a long time too!
Conclusion: it needed some time, but to me very intriguing and sensual addictive in the end! ❤

Do you think Hermès Barenia and Zara les heures passent smell similar?

I have just recieved a bottle of this after testing in store and I love it. It’s so unique and fresh citrus with some spiciness like ginger and then some patchouli in the bace which I enjoy. The bottle is so classy and timeless and it lasts ages.

I just tried this. It has an extremely complex scent, and I have mixed feelings about it. The first time I smelled it, it felt too heavy, but then I realized its complexity and was surprised by the multiple layers of the scent. I can tell that a lot of effort went into creating it, so I don’t want to dismiss it as simply not my style. I will continue to explore it in the coming days.

Also, my favorite Hermès perfume is Un Jardin sur la Lagune ❤
