Sikkim: Singshore Bridge To Be Made Into A Swanky Glass-Deck Skywalk

In a major move, the DoNER Ministry has approved the conversion of the iconic Singshore Suspension Bridge in Dentam into a glass-deck skywalk. The project, overseen by the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, Government of Sikkim, aims to transform the bridge into a major tourist attraction.

In a letter dated 20th September and addressed to the District Magistrate of Gyalshing District, the Chief Engineer of the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, Government of Sikkim, confirmed that the existing bridge, previously managed by the Roads and Bridges Department, has been officially transferred for technical testing and subsequent conversion work.
