Sub 3 min per km pace is just insane!
ОтветитьI would be curious to see how long Andy could last today at some of his PR paces. I feel like you have done things similar (eg parkrun record as a relay)but not quite this.
ОтветитьEPO
ОтветитьThis is absolutely terrifying and exhilarating at the same time. It's absolutely stunning how strong Kipchoge ran his WR AND how he finished it. He's got this seemingly unlimited amount of energy / mental strength which is truly inspiring. It's like Suley said at the end, "believe in yourself. Your mind is strong."
ОтветитьGreat video guys. Such great camaraderie between you all. A deserved winner. Love your comment at the end. Your mind is strong!!!!
ОтветитьAbsolutely love this, and would love to try this, (and try to hold on for 30 seconds).
ОтветитьSo that's what it is called. The Tumbleator. Is that going to be in Chicago? I would last 30 seconds, but would try to go for exactly 1 minute
ОтветитьSurface for running way too soft to hope getting good speed....
ОтветитьBut did you use the same type of cheat shoes as he did…
ОтветитьI can confidently say I can do a 2 × 300m session with 5min rest at his marathon pace
ОтветитьI would love to last at least 30 seconds lol. Insane running!
ОтветитьI’d guess I’d be between 2-7 mins lol
ОтветитьWould love to try this👍 Not sure I’d last too long though🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️
ОтветитьOnly 40km left
ОтветитьNow keep that pace for 26 miles😳
ОтветитьHe kept that pace up for over 2 hours??? WTH! 🤯
ОтветитьI had a treadmill that goes up to 20km/h, which is slightly slower than a 2 hour marathon pace and I almost passed out after about 800 meters... What is Kipchoge made of?
ОтветитьThe one running last always has a psychological advantage of knowing what pace & target to achieve to win the race. Something like what pacers help do in a regular race...
Ответить1 MINUTE 9 SECONDS PER QUARTER MILE. BLAZING!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьTo add another comment I actually thought Jess would hold on for a quarter mile but 22 more seconds at that blazing pace is an eternity
ОтветитьThis proves nothing. What about air resistance?
ОтветитьThat pace would be a full-on sprint for me. I can´t even fathom running that fast for 2 hours straight, let alone even 3 minutes!
Ответитьkipchoge is the real black panther! as a below-average runner, i cannot even think of how fast this is. great job guys!
ОтветитьI bought a treadmill in januari. It is not as hard compared to that speed on the road. I ran a sub 15 min 5k on my Treadmill . I could never do that on the road or track, sub 16 on a very good day. But it is great fun, also on Zwift with The Running Channel on there. Keep up the good work guys. Love watching p.s. And i also met the GOAT in Eldoret, Kenya on the track in july (on my 50th birtday) Very inspiational and a nice person
ОтветитьGreat video guys.
ОтветитьBrilliant
ОтветитьKip the G.O.A.T
ОтветитьA lot more fair to run in the real world on tarmac and just see if you can keep up. A treadmill isn’t fair because it forces you to change your stride and cadence.
ОтветитьIt looks really rough running on that treadmill, it looks super soft, like running in thick mud.
ОтветитьAwesome!!! Well done everyone! 👏
ОтветитьI'd be happy to last 20 seconds, and surprised to last 30. I'd absolutely love to have a go though.
Mad props to all of you, but especially to Jess for sheer bloody-minded determination - she was in a full sprint right from the start, and still she just would not quit. Impressive.
Lol, I tried running his pace for 1km about a week ago and felt like I was going to die! Fastest I could do was 3.17 over the km.
I need to lose 5kgs and wish I was in my 30's again. Kipchoge is a machine
Was fun watching this
Can we see a challenge that puts Andy Vs Suley?
ОтветитьYou can watch all the videos you want, but until you actually run that pace, most people will never have a clue. It's mind blowingly fast.
ОтветитьThink it's safe to say I couldn't even reach that speed, let alone keep it going for 10 seconds!
ОтветитьKipchoge keep jogging
ОтветитьAussie park run posted something saying that Kipchoges average 5K time for the marathon would have taken the course record in virtually all global park runs
ОтветитьHow long would I last running at world record pace: I wouldn't reach it!
ОтветитьI tried this in the gym the other day, but the treadmill only went up to 12mph!
ОтветитьWas waiting for Eliud Kipchoge to show up and go for 2+ hours
ОтветитьI think what affects the running on this particular threadmill is how soft and bouncy the running surface is. Granted, it still wouldn’t mean most people would run at the WR pace for long. Just wanted to point that out!
ОтветитьBiggest insult I can pay is I last longer in bed.
ОтветитьNot sure I could even get up to that pace, let alone sustain it 😅
ОтветитьYou lot need to go train at ITEN - Eldoret KENYA, the home of World Champions to get a ln altitude feeling and untiring running legs.
ОтветитьHow long do you think you could last at world record marathon pace? Which celebrity would you like to see on the tumbleator? Have you ever had a go on it yourself?
