I never see delayed cord clamping addressed with c-sections. Can you do this when having a c?

Genuine question. Aren't formula-fed babies essentially receiving "oral supplementation"? So if the risk is almost zero for formula-fed babies, why isn't oral supplementation good enough?

My questions for the experts,

Dear X,

After sharing my birth plan with a midwife at your hospital on the 10th January, I was informed that I wasn't allowed to refuse Vitamin K shot for my baby who could potentially be born early. The term 'obligatory' was used. When I persisted to say I didn't want it, she explained I'd need to see you, the head (boss) of the neonatal department. I therefore thank you for your time today and I have the following questions;

Do the rights of patients and users of health system defined in article L1110 to L1115-3 of the public heath code still exist?

Do all patients still have the right to refuse or not to receive a treatment?

Is the doctor still required to respect the patients wishes in accordance with the article?

I fully understand that if refusal of treatment has serious consequences for the minor then the doctor will provide 'health care' that is 'crucial' to his/ her health, therefore please can you show me the results of the double blind placebo trial if one has ever taken place? Also, can you define 'crucial'.

Please can you inform me why there are millions of people alive today including my two children that didn't receive vitamin K? Why is the shot optional in other 1st world countries? Could this be used as evidence in a court of law that the vitamin K shot is not at all 'crucial'?

Is my child more likely to live or die if not administered synthetic vitamin K at birth?

Please can you read me the warning on the Pfizer vitamin K packet? Is there any warnings about the negative effects of the 'toxic' adjuvant, aluminum, especially when administered to premature babies, putting them at 'particular risk'? What are these risks according to the respectable medical studies and articles found on 'Children's Health Defence' website?

Have any severe reactions ever been observed by Pfizer immediately after distributing the shot, for example anaphylaxis, shock, cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest and death, even when efforts have been made to dilute the shot according to their own litterature?

Have there been any pub med studies linking the shot to lymphoblastic leukaemia in children aged 1 to 6?

According to other reliable sources of medical literature, are there any other possible negative effects of administering a synthetic shot of VK in an adjuvant of aluminum, for example, skin disorders, bradycardia, dyspnea bronchospasm?

Has the highly respected British Medical Journal admitted that they still don't know enough about the negative consequences of Vit K administration? Have they not recommended a larger controlled trial take place? Please can you inform me of the results of this trial, and if and when it happened who funded it?

Have there been any clinical trials or medical studies carried out showing that low levels of vitamin K in newborns is not a mistake? Is there any positive effects of not receiving an artificial shot for example the protective effects of xenobiotic entry? Why do you think a woman's placenta only passes very little K to the baby? And why a woman's breast milk (a woman eating a rich diet of vitamin K ) is fully capable of providing a baby with every nutrient and vitamin it needs, yet doesn't pass on vitamin K to the infant? Could it be possible that the K Vitamin for newborns is not necessary at this young age for reasons 'science' (which should always be questioned) does not yet understand?

Please can you define the term 'obligatory' Is this legal terminology or a word to manipulate a person into compliance?

I'm fully aware of the mainstream narrative regarding the vitamin K shot. Does this hospital have any conflict of interest in recommending/ forcing it?

Does my decision effect my insurance? How?

Is it possible that 'obligatory' vitamin K has more to do with the financial protection of the hospital than protection of the infant due to a corrupt system?

Thank you for answering each question in writing and fully informing me in of the pros and cons of the vitamin K shot for newborns in accordance with article L110-1 to L115-3 prior to my final decision regarding the intervention or where I deliver my baby.

Kind regards,
Emma

Your knowledge on hepatitis B, vitamin K, and the eye ointment is shocking. You are pushing fear and facts that are not accurate. A babies risk of catching hep b in developed nations such as NJ, USA is nearly .005% chance. Wake up and stop the fear based bullshit. Eye ointment is only if mom has the STD. Just test them… 😢

How often does an infant develop hepatitis B? How many babies get STDs when momma and daddy are STD-free? I’ll pass in jabbing my infant with all those chemical preservative toxins in the vax.

I'd be curious if vitamin k is higher in plant based moms. When I log my meals occasionally in the chronometer app I blow vitamin k out of the water. It just seems weird that for thousands of years there were no vitamin k shots and in most other ways breast milk is perfectly adapted for babies.

Ladies.. please do your own research as well, don't just listen to these videos. The vitamin K shot warning label LITERALLY says that it doesn't cause clotting. The whole reason they give the shot. If your baby isn't bleeding / bleeding out.. then why would they need the shot in the first place? It's not just a vitamin. Look it up PLEASE. God didn't screw up, our babies don't need these things! Our breastmilk will provide everything a typical healthy baby needs. Don't give them vitamin C either! Do your own research. 💕 look at both sides and judge accordingly. Good luck.

The vaccination for hepatitis seems more prudent where I live (Latvia).
In the third trimester the mother is tested for HBsAg and if the test is positive or is not done (e.g. premature birth) only then the shot is done. Because, where else would the infant get the hepatitis during the first year of life, if not from breast milk?

The fact that delayed cord cutting is now becoming standard is good news. When I gave birth the first time in 2011 I asked for delayed cord clamping/cutting and the doctor treated me like I was crazy. Basically told me I would bleed out and possibly die if they delayed cord cutting.

As a nicu nurse I have never seen a pediatrician at the warmer during a delivery, a neo doc sure if the delivery is severe like with a micro premie but from my experience a pedi doesn't get involved unless baby is good to go and mom is transfered to post partum unit

Why the heck n Bob are you Doctors not studying midwifery!!!!!????? You guys really lack on SO MUCH BEAUTIFUL INFORMATION!!!! Like a LOTUS BIRTH - never ever clipping that cord for HOURS!! Oh my god you are all SHOCKING babies when you do not leave the cord on !!!!! The position you put mothers in on their back is a guarantee for TEARING !!!!!! A trained midwife knows how to manipulate the pelvis to ensure zero tearing happens and how to position her body !!!

My goddess gracious doctors have lost the beautiful process of delivering babies into this world.

MOMS - READ AS MANY BOOKS ON MIDWIFERY AS POSSIBLE!! The way the doctors carry out PROTOCOLS in hospital is ridiculous .

So I just found out a week ago that I’m going to be a dad …

I always thought I’d be exited and I would be but my wife is very childish and immature I wasn’t ready to have kids with her even though I wanted them but she is so childish I jumped right into protective mode I wanted to take care of both of them and help them and have them both healthy and happy but being new I was researching all the things related to taking care of the baby and her but every time I tell her my findings from multiple doctors and even my sister In law who is a OG/BYN she instantly gets mad and argues and refuses to listen I’m trying to be the good helpful guy but all I get is anger and bs even before the pregnancy it’s just worst now idk what to do I’m trying to help her and my child but I’m almost like I don’t even wanna try she’s just a angry person who don’t even give things a chance and has a unrealistic view on things I think I would have actually been excited about kids if it wasn’t for her childish behavior I’d actually be excited but I’m not anymore please any advice would help

I would have liked to hear you go into how high the risk is in the first place for a child getting Hep B. From what I've read it's mostly transmitted through sexual transmission and dirty needles. On rare occasions, it can be transmitted by blood transfer. Given almost all infants will not be exposed to sexually transmitted diseases and dirty needles then they would need to get it through a blood transfusion which I imagine is also a very rare occurrence in newborns.

Currently, it appears you have a 1 in 2,000,000 chance of getting hep b per unit of blood. With all that considered why is the Hep B vaccine highly recommended for newborns?
