ОтветитьAs a mobile player this is useful I'm so excited to try this things and the update in the future if there is on mobile 😅 i wish there is on 1.6.9 on mobile i think 🤔 I'm not that well informed to the updates
ОтветитьThx
ОтветитьI generally use my salmonberries for energy, but I save all my blackberries for that one secret note from the bear in the secret woods. Last I knew, jellies and wines made from berry bushes didn't benefit from the price increase from that note's rewards
ОтветитьWait... People find foraging hard to level? I usually have it as one of the skills I max out first, if not the first, without even focusing. I'm so confused.
Ответить“The last one to level” I thought this was a foraging guide, not a combat guide 😅 (I usually get foraging a season before every other skill, and fishing and combat get to compete for dead last).
ОтветитьForaging is one of the first skills I max by default! Its not that hard, really
ОтветитьTo be honest I get max foraging so quickly and I don't know why 😅
Ответить:D
ОтветитьHi Lily!
ОтветитьNice upload. Just a heads up, there's an editing error at the very end of the video where you repeat yourself about the next video.
ОтветитьSalmonberries aren't really worth using as an energy source, as you can grow Carrots instead, which give a whopping 75 energy each at base.
They aren't even worth turning into Wine or Jelly, as the process takes too long and is better served by other, higher value crops instead (like the ones you'll be growing anyway to level your farming). The return rate is also extremely low, as Salmonberries sell value is low. You're better off hoarding them until you get the Bear's Secret Technique to increase their sell value.
They don't even make for good gifts, as they are universally disliked, except by a few villagers.
You'll need a lot of wood for crafting, but you shouldn't hard-focus collecting it because it stalls your progress elsewhere. You should only collect as much wood as you need at the time because time spent collecting wood is better spent making money.
The tent isn't as great as it sounds, unless you have auto petters for your animals, as you still need to pet them and collect their produce because they WILL lose friendship if you don't pet them, which causes the value of their produce to drop. This makes Warp Totems far more valuable, not to mention that the tent is actually unlocked MUCH later than totems.
Cooking spot is also low value simply due to the lack of resources/recipes in the early game. You're much better off simply buying the house upgrade, because the kitchen is permanent, compared to the cooking spot (why does it get dismantled when so many other crafting tables don't?). I think the Tent and Cooking Spot should both be available at the same time and should be permanent fixtures, it would massively increase their value.
Honestly, a lot of forging just isn't really worth it, with the exception of collecting things to make Tea Saplings, as despite their nerfed price (5000 to 2500), they are still worth collecting for some early game cash. Buffing your Foraging level is only worth it to collect those extra berries from the bushes, because a boost to Axe Efficiency is easily made irrelevant by simply making easier meals to cook. Replenishing your energy with Algae Soup, for instance, is more resource efficient than cooking Pancakes and lowering the cost of each axe swing.
Making it sound harder that it is (in my exp). Secret woods is a consistent source of hardwood and foraging exp just stop by everyday (as you pointed out). Combat is not as consistent so thats what i end with aa the last.
Imagine the mines was the originaly the best foraging exp source, just fund a mushroom floor (fixed).
Re: people saying "foraging isn't that hard!"
It's one of the hardest to specifically grind. Mining/farming/fishing are pretty easy, combat is OK once you've got monster musk, but foraging the only way to specifically target it is tree farming - otherwise, your XP is pretty much capped by stuff respawning in the valley.
That means that if you're the super-optimize, minmax-everything type, foraging will probably be your last maxed skill since it's the least minmax-able. On the other hand, if you're more laid back, then foraging comes free with anything else, so it's likely to be combat (normally) or fishing (if you hate the minigame).
This… is not as bad as it has been. Most of the time when I chop trees down, they not only drop more seeds but also books. I try to clear a little farm space at a time then attack cinder snap forest til my energy depletes. My last game started and I had Forage at level ten before summer.
ОтветитьI choose a bat cave , plant a lot of trees for moss farm and place Mushroom Logs between every trees. then I got XP very quickly.
Each Moss collected gives the player 1 Foraging XP , harvest Mushroom Logs give 5 foraging XP . ( from wiki)
So if you plant a lot of tree , just only swing your sword to collect the moss and harvest mushroom from the logs. it's surely will give you big XP every 3-4 days .
In the green rain day give will a massive XP if you focus on collect the moss. my foraging went from 4 to 6 in a day.
Lily, you should've mentioned that for the Salmon Berry, you can only forage them from Spring 15th to Spring 18th, so players are able to maximize their Salmon Berry foraging.
Edit: I've gotten moss on the trees and have never had the green rain event.
Hiii you have really helped me get business going on the Meadowlands farm
ОтветитьIt might help to note you get 14XP for felling a tree (all rewarded with the last chop) and only 2 XP for breaking the stump. Having an iridium axe means getting more XP per energy spent. Even more if you manage to get the efficient enchantment as you'll spend zero energy with each swing. I like to keep a good chunk of my farm dedicated to farming wood (surrounding the trees with path blocks to prevent weeds or errant tree seeds from growing) even into the late game plus the trainyard and any spot you can plant trees on in the mountains or Cindersnap forest. And, without a doubt, invest in tree fertilizer. You'll have full grown seeds turn to trees in five days, really good for mass harvesting.
Ответитьthat’s like the easiest to level up tbh lol
ОтветитьAs a player who loves mining, killing every monster i see without exception, getting a lot of fish ponds, and a lot of sprinklers.
Combat is still the last max i get despite me never foraging
If you like cozy games, you could try I am Future Cozy Apocalypse Survival (yea thats the name xD).
ОтветитьThanks for this video!
ОтветитьWait how is foraging hard to level? I have way more trouble getting combat up.
ОтветитьMy comment will not get 10 like pls dont like🎉
ОтветитьI like setting up tree farms on the farm to level up my Foraging XP. At level 7 you get Tree Fertiliser to craft for the small price of 5 Stone and 5 Fiber. Both easily farmable. Planting some basic trees around and razing the forest to the ground every week can get your foraging level quite high and you'll have it maxed out in a few weeks
Planting Wild Seeds instead of crafting Tea Bushes with them will also help, it's a reliable way to get good Foraging XP and it's pretty easy to get more of them plus you don't need a scarecrow to guard them. Plus they make some brilliant Jellies and Pickles while your Kegs produce your main farming Crops
Wild Horseradish in Spring, Common Mushrooms in Fall and Winter Roots in Winter can all be processed to make their respective seasonal Wild Seeds. The Common Mushroom and Winter Roots can be farmed in other ways which will allow you to rack up plenty of seeds before fall and Winter hit
That's my main advice for Gaining Foraging XP, now for the Utility of Foraging
I heard once from a wise man that foraging is the Support class of the 5 skills. And tbh I can absolutely see that being true. The only thing you would use from the Foraging tree for profit is the Mushroom Logs and Tree Tappers but they're hardly the most profitable things when compared to Fishing or Farming. The Foraging Tree gives you more wood or more foraged items depending on your professions and all of the crafting and cooking recipes help you, other skills or buff you in some way, The cookout Kit if you don't have a kitchen or are the other side of the Valley or on ginger Island without the farmhouse, Lightning Rods to help your trees and crops survive storms and farm batteries, Tappers to get some crafting items from your trees besides wood even though wood farming is very beneficial to many other crafting recipes, Tree Fertilisers to help you farm the wood itself, The tent Kit to sleep anywhere and not be mugged by Morris, The totems for fast travelling where the minecarts can't get you. Even the mastery which is Golden Mystery Boxes for better items, Mystic Trees which give valuable syrup for great crafting recipes and a new Totem for completing the Museum. It's a great tree for everything besides profit and it makes your life a lot easier and more convenient when maxed out and used properly but many people overlook it as "the berry bush skill"
Foraging needs more love
Foraging is my favorite skill.
ОтветитьIts funny because foraging is the one I get first. I don’t have a plan I just play normally and get this followed by farming, then mining and combat is always last! 😁
ОтветитьMy favorite thing about Foraging is that at level 10, you can make all foraged items iridium quality. Yes, that includes truffles!
