So worked in legal spaces (legislative and private firms) for most of my 20s and I have some insight for you: the best, most brilliant lawyers I know are also creative. The ones who are photographers and writers on the side are also the ones who do the most amazing legal analysis and arguments. You have to be creative to get the Essenes of law - there is an art to it. I guess I wanted you to know that your paradox is probably just two sides of the same coin.

I am curious about your liptick color and the lipstick your friend is wearing (on the thumbnail photo for the video). Loved your multitasking abilities, read, read, read. It seems like a long road while you are at it but it goes by fast. Anyway, you look great. Love watching your videos.

I liked that last reflection you made. I'm a paradoxal person too but I usually say I'm a person made of extremes (I just feel like I never have tastes in "the middle zone")... Anyway that's just another way to describe it. And there's nothing wrong with liking 2 different things at once. When I left highschool, I wanted to take both nursing and engineering school and it was pretty hard to chose between those 2. That summing to my love for music and informatics (and more recently fitness and nutrition)... So many interesting stuff to study and make a career of, why not taking on more that 1 of them? Anyways, nice vlog, all the best to you!

P.S: We might have a natural tendency to behave in a certain way, but I believe that we can chose to take the best of it and change the worse. I really liked your prespective of freedom of action, so many people forget that we are responsible for our own behaviour.

I completely understand your story about how contradictive your life can be. I guess I have got the same contradiction in my life. I am also a Law student (hbo), but besides my education I am creative and I love art, music and travelling. So I completely agree with you, you can define yourself in different ways.

i feel the same way with academics and being creative. ive always been good at school and always was interested in arts and stuff. now im studying for university entance exams to study international business, but at the same time i would love nothing but to have a blog and have time to work on that and work in a creative job. luckily they can most likely be combined in the future in some way. but its weird compared to my friends who know exactly what they want etc. and theres only the one thing, where as i have the two that are pretty different.

I'm actually starting a law degree in Groningen in September. I currently live in the UK so it's quite a change. Is there anything I could do to prepare for the degree, like reading something or whatever? thanks for being so inspiring x

I'm the same boat right now with the labeling dilemma. One part of me is a business owner/ web designer blah blah but the other half is a dancer and dance teacher. Totally different lanes. It's like how do you label that? One way I've been able to justify both interests is that they both have an underlying goal, to inspire women. So I feel like as long as you have your underlying goal, you can be a part of as many lanes as you want to :)

How do you get to that answer of 'what will make you happy'? Asking yourself repetitively day by day will probably be exhaustive so how did you do it? I always find myself stuck on "i want to help others" but every job on earth is to help others in a way...
