i think it was somewhere around half of 20/21 season when his goal celebration changed to less enjoyable and he also had some incident with Klopp. Handled being in Salah's 'fame shadow' for years. Even that he played great and LFC felt his absence hard after he left. Unfortunate decision to leave LFC.

His perception is much like Riyad Mahrez, another great player who had incredible moments in the Premiere League who’s getting old and had a lot of hardcore fanboys (africans, muslims, etc.) become aggressively upset when Man City started him less then eventually sold him to a Saudi League team.
