Does it not show something that "criminals" that are locked up in a box can perform politics better than people can who are free. Does this not show you that they lock up people that they are scared of being leaders. We need to change that.

When I was in the Feds, there were "business" classes available that were taught by other inmates. They were all con men who were teaching how to create shell corporations and then get loans from banks, lines of credit and other various cash sources. And then how to "not pay them back". It was unreal. So anything the feds have going on doesn't surprise me.

Working in the prison system for 26 years, both state and federal, I’ve come to one conclusion, MAJORITY of the inmates are decent people, just like in society. U respect them, they’ll respect u, almost always. And just like in society you’ll always have idiots, it’s no different in prison. The hardest part of my job was NEVER dealing with the inmates, that was the easiest part. The hardest part was dealing with management and the politics that goes on. I always respected the inmates, that’s how I was raised to respect EVERYONE, until they give u a reason to not respect them, then “it’s on.”

Justice is just us, meaning not for us. The truth is since the beginning of slavery to the first original police force already had Blacks the number one target. Through the racsim, bigotry and prejudice laid the ground that is effecting the Black Community to this very day. Being a retired Corrections Captain of 24 years gives me the right to say this.

What is mind blowing is a group of black men in prison navigated though prison to better themselves and change the culture. But what was more important is these men in the program were predominantly Black men. The ideology of these Men were Each One Teach One. In America, either realize at the end of the day these are people who served their sentences, deserve a right to start their lives over. If God can forgive us for ours sins that says it all.

Aahhh.. When i first started washing this I said to myself. This woman has something for him. She had to jump hoops and backlash. I just knew she had something for him. None the less we are all human.. However i like the concept of this program. We need something other than the erupting of prison cause as it stands now it further ruins people in ways that are detrimental, traumatic, and setting bad things into people mental health. So NYC so it causes many to not be able to overtime it and turn thier lives around. Its a rude shocker getting out of prison. Ive been there. My close friend spent 32 years on a double life with 30 year inelidgeability that happened at age 15. She is doing well. Got paroled about 2 years ago. She had her own place same job still. Bit i have noticed her stamina has decreased. Life is real or here. She took second job on and that i think had worn her down a bit. Id like to see her start a business but i know it's monumental. All in all she has been successful!

The first word that comes to mind is exploitation in regard to Ms. Garrett's behavior and choices. To hold a high-level position with a vulnerable population and use it as leverage for personal quests is unconscionable.
