im glad my company isnt like this, we sweep the whole house and pick up every wire scrap and any sheathings on the ground, and then we vaccum the sinks and countertops so that they're clean for the plumbers bc they usually come right after we leave or the next day

Here's the best thing I've ever done as an electrical engineer, who does electrician's job; I peed in a brand new toilet, an I couldn't flush, because the water supply was off. After a week, the developer of this appartment building realized that a bad smell was coming out of that restroom, and when he found out what that smell was, he said to one of his workers: "bring bucket full of water and pure it in the toilet. A big asshole peed here!". That moment, I was working on a socket outlet, and I was trying not to laugh (I couldn't do it). A drywaller was watching me, and I told him: "please ignore me, there are times that I laugh without any reason at all". 😂

Funny because the realtor I've been doing work for recently mentioned 'tiding up after ourselves when we're done' today...
So I was the last one who left the house I was working on, picked up all of the cardboard, etc from the fixtures I installed - but left scraps of wire behind.

I literally looked at the pile as I was leaving and thought 'eh, good enough' hahaha

I’m surprised honestly I hear about all these guys just leaving copper wire around, any kind of strip even 2 inches long I always collect and combine in a big box or buckets and turn that in. A lot of good money in wire to be recycled. I used to be a cell tower guy and would take 3-5 cubic yards worth of up to like 2 inch thick wire. Several thousand pounds of dirty (for the uninformed by dirty copper i mean copper that’s still got insulation or other material on it) or clean copper would just be thrown away every month by my company because they were big enough to not want to worry about tracking all of it
