When a wheel fell off my '04 Civic EX and the insurance totaled it for me, the FR-S/BRZ was in my top 3 of replacements. Had I been at a place where I could have dedicated time and money to upgrades (and not cared about warranty), I would have gone with the BRZ platform. Instead, I choose a Genesis Coupe with it's 3.8L engine and never looked back. Upgraded that for a G70 and have never been more in love with a car. Only regret is that I didn't keep the Coupe as a second car and throw a super charger in it.

Interesting to come up to a BRZ in a Lotus, considering one of the BRZ's competitors, the Genesis Coupe, had its chassis and handling tweaked with input from Lotus.

I chose a 370z over this, but new iterations look badass. I think that engine is nowhere near as reliable as VQ though, since on used market it is rare to see one over 80k

Having owned several ae86s, the frs,brz,86 chassis didn’t disappoint. Now I’m into my second one and possibly a third as a daily in a year or so.
