Good vans but they do rust sadly. vitos are just as bad. merc should do better really as it's a premium make.

The worst van EVER made for rusting...ive seen 5/6 year old sprinters with both rear doors flapping about rotten, entire corners, 3/4" eaten away on front doors and entire sides destroyed behind the plastic trims...to be honest, a fucking disgrace, mercedes should be ashamed of themselves with the state these vans end up in...and even when looked after they fall to pieces, fuckin crap.

Nice work mate 👍. Apparently they rust bad them vans. Probably not suitable for a wet climate. Better in the Australian outback were it don't rain 😆. Cheers legend 👍 👌 🇦🇺🏴

Rust, rust, rust. Since I was an apprentice at Mercedes in the mid-90s it’s the same old song. It’s one way to generate demand, I guess.

I had a 2011 sprinter for 3 years brand new and the rust was a joke just from a few stone chips Mercedes did pay for a small repair but not all of it!! The later Merc vans are a million times better

This is the real premium quality of Mercedes-Benz. Wtf. I think the best solution for a car in this rost-conditions is shredding... I had a brand new Mercedes Vito. Five years later we can see the premium quality: rust...differnt grumbling noises in the body, the cylinder head is broken and the oil consumption with 40`000 km sucks with 2 liters/100 km. The customer service was a joke...
After this five years of suffering, i bought a Renault Grand Espace 2.2 tdi: a great family-car with out eany problems. i made
300´000 km. Problems? Yes, 2 sensors in 15 yers and a complete change of the frontbrakes with 180´000 km.
MERCEDES-BENZ, thake the best or nothing. I think: better nothing....
