What kind of yeast to use and how much to put in
ОтветитьGood to see you brother, I’ve had to be away for a bit but hopefully will get back around soon.
ОтветитьI have a 40 gallon still and haven't gotten the nerve to try my 1st go at trying my 1st attempt. I'm very confused about how to truly pop my cherry and try my 1st time. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have very clean well water and just learned that I'll need to grind up my 50lb of cracked corn. I would love a simple 1st time beginner recipe to make my maiden voyage and work through my jitters.
ОтветитьDidn't know they had hermit crabs in Kentucky
ОтветитьThat is a sweet set-up PhilBilly.
Ответитьdo you malt all of your corn you mash with?
ОтветитьThat spring looks awesome!!
ОтветитьHELL YEAH BROTHER! You’re watching the Phillbilly Moonshine showoooooooo. Good stuff brotha. I wanted to do a run this year but I’m in Oregon and idk if I can ferment at the outdoor temps we have now. Idk maybe I’ll try something..
ОтветитьHey that guy really sucks at recording though. There is no sync with the video and the lighting. 😂 good stuff though
ОтветитьHey Phil
ОтветитьYeah, I'm fermenting that Jimmy red corn I got from you for my 10gal still. But here in northern Cal I'm using this Mt. Shasta spring from Weed Ca. Not as good what you got, then no need to pack a side arm when getting at the local store.see you
ОтветитьBlue mountain Kentucky shine.
ОтветитьMaking extra mash to avoid the squeezins is great advice!
ОтветитьAnd the government wants people to drive electric cars?? When they can't even make electric drills that can do the job!
ОтветитьImporting corn from surrounding states actually is the traditional Kentucky method.
ОтветитьInteresting that you don't like "corn squeezings." Joe Swistok provided me a brilliant solution for getting corn squeezings. But you inadvertently answered a question that I was going to pose to you: cooking "on the grain", how do you handle the used grains? You just toss them.
ОтветитьCool deal. Man I am really contemplating planting out a couple acre of some unique corn here in Oklahoma next season. I work for a metal shop and the boss is into diversifying the company skills. Heck we just got our own lumber mill up and running and I’m going to start seasoning slabs of different woods. Would even like to look into tig welding different stainless parts. The boss doesn’t know but I’m steering him towards home distilling supplies manufacturing lol.
ОтветитьFirst moonshine I ever drank come from Kentucky , Manchester I think , loved it , I'll have my own still one day , got put on probation for 3 years for getting drunk and kicked a cop , can't remember , woke up in a cell in Orange jump suit , I think I was drugged
ОтветитьWhat cigar you smoking
ОтветитьHave you ever made a non alcoholic shine
ОтветитьI'm from Boyd County Kentucky..

How much should I throw away as heads? I heard run it at 160°F for 10 minutes and that's all the heads done but I want more opinions on it.
ОтветитьHi, I’m a small batch distiller…I noticed you feel your run with your hands? I’ve never done that…what are you feeling for? Thank you for any response.
ОтветитьLooking at getting your 2 gallon bucket worm for the vevor. Does the larger worm help improve the proof? Thanks for the vids and info.
