The Dark Angels are my favorite. But god I think that they are really badly written with all this paranoia and secrets (that could not be one)... I hope the Lion changes the Chapter and successors.

The irony of he dark angels being worse than the fallen they hunt in their pursuit will never not be funny. The best part will be the fallen legion Luther is gathering turning out to be trying to restore the legion of old and rea affirm their oaths of loyalty to the primarch. That would be a way better mindfuck than them being another chaos faction.

Jesus all these shorts do is perpetuate the shitty meme lore that has plauged the dark angels for years.

People forget that for a majority of their orders the dark angels are an effective fighting force just as loyal as any other chapter.

It's just the very few instances where the dark angels do some evil shit (like literally every other faction in 40k. Looking at you salamanders.) against allies that people focus on. It doesn't help that GW seems capable of only producing books that only highlight this aspect of the dark angels.

And another thing, the lion does not hate his current sons and certainly will not purge them. He certainly wants to steer them in a better direction since he is redeeming some of the fallen, but he isn't going to punish his other sons. I'm sure to him everything they did is logical. The lion was always a secretive and plotting primarch and it spread to his sons. And as for proof that he doesn't hate his current sons, in the latest dark angels codex it is stated that he leads his chapter and their successors occasionally and that he also has meetings with the high command of the DA.

So yes please stop falling for meme lore everyone.

Ones that have none of their history or traditions made and trained far from any of them by another Chapter's Primarch, and in some stories Custodes threaten to wipe out anyone who rejects the "reinforcements".

Paranoia has kept the Dark Angels alive till now, and it is a trait encouraged by the Emperium.

With how paranoid the Dark Angels are, you would think some of them would realize that if the Primaris marine possess even a fragment of the same geneseed as they do, that doing this would trigger THEIR paranoia and lead to them recolting eventually, because "only a traitor would have to brainwash their allies to submit to their cause"
