What the!? This route literally goes past my house! Twice! I need the map or gxl or whatever it's called...
Edit: I was on that rusty bridge last week. I think I could use this as a target route.
Putting on something like a city type tyre or file tread would of made it even easier ! Surprising how well a MTB does go on long road or easy trail outings. I'm never that much slower timewise than using my road bike on steady local rides.
Ответить100 miles is not a problem for my legs, but for my bum and my lower back...
ОтветитьIs that Newbold Comyn? I recognise that blue trail... not to mention Hunningham High Bridge, the Ridgeway and the Chesterton Windmill... all of my local ride spots!
ОтветитьGreat! Do it again!
ОтветитьGreat video thank you Anna nice to see an MTB being used for what a lot of people would consider mountain biking as opposed to hucking gap jumps. Really nice thank you
ОтветитьHaven't done 100 miles yet but great to see how you prep for and work out how much food and fluid you need, compared to this I always overpack but better too much than too little 😂Thanks for sharin Anna, looked like a great cycling adventure! 😁
ОтветитьCool seeing newbold comyn trail centre make an appearance on this video 😎
ОтветитьSo inspiring! ❤❤
ОтветитьCongrates Anna, one for the komoot library.
ОтветитьGreat wee video Anna. Plenty more of these pls
ОтветитьNever done a 100 miles on a mtn bike. I’ve done a 100 on a road bike multiple times…
ОтветитьNice effort: 100miles offroad is like 150 on tarmac ;)
My typical ride is 40miles on gravel/offroad at XC bike with 300-400m climbs.
Nice to explore some regions on 2 wheels!
Great ride,and video,always a great watch.👍🏼💪
ОтветитьLiving a long way from any real gradient, hills or rocks, this is pretty much how I do all of my riding on byways, bridleways, towpaths, fire roads and quiet lanes. I might do a couple of 50 milers a year but most of my riding like this is in the 20-40 mile range. A Gravel, XC or Downcountry bike is perfect for this kind of riding. 👍 Thanks for recognising that we don't all do gravity rides Anna. 👍
ОтветитьI wonder why,..even a plain crackers taste good during century ride hahaha
Ответить💧🤍
ОтветитьThis was great - we need more videos like this!
ОтветитьNice seeing my girl on a big ride. 💪
ОтветитьAwesome!
ОтветитьDoing my first ride with elevation at the end of July. Thanks for the tips and fueling strategy.
ОтветитьAwesome we need more
ОтветитьMy kind of ride, no matter bike type.
ОтветитьI try to do a century once a year here in the states ( Chicago to Milwaukee), I usually do it under the guise of a charity as my cover for doing it but it's really just because I can lol. Ppl accept it better and I get to raise money for a good cause 😁
ОтветитьThis event alone is enough to make me want to live in Europe.
ОтветитьI'm Impressed peeps are able to do 100 miles in one day. Not this peep though, im absolutely done after 25-30.
ОтветитьSort of just what I needed. I’ve not ridden since before lockdown and haven’t found the motivation to get any of my 3 bikes out for the trail or the gravel path. I’m also totally out of shape so not going to try 100miler any time soon but if I can just get out for a day…who knows!
ОтветитьLive in the area and knew nothing about this ride! So thank you for showing it off, and great video. Well done on the ride too.
ОтветитьYES Loved this. Thank you.
Ответить20psi, you sure?
ОтветитьGood vid, cheers. When you say spares what do you recommend other that the tube and chainlinks
Ответить100 off road miles - on a hard tail.... No thanks...
ОтветитьBravo bravissimo. More of this. Superduber!
ОтветитьRick's got the best bike on this channel in ages....
ОтветитьGreat info, and yes I'm inspired! Soon as I buy a XC bike I'm looking to do some long rides. Thanks for the tips ;)
ОтветитьI’m a fairly new rider and have been kicking around the idea of doing a century ride but didn’t know how to do it properly. Thanks for the great video and inspiration!
ОтветитьGreat job Anna and for all your tip for do long rides!
ОтветитьIf you ride mostly in zone 1 and 2, carbs in your water bottles are more than enough as your body uses up fat stores comfortably. I never got hungry one bit in my long rides as long as I rode in zone 1 and 2. In zone 3 and 4 it's the opposite.
ОтветитьThat front size😮
ОтветитьThanks! Love this! Definitely want to do this challenge next solstice!
ОтветитьA great video - 100 miles is about 160km for all the Aussies out there :) )
I live about ~40 minutes drive from my closest MTB park (Lysterfield, where the 2006 Commonwealth games MTB was held). Recently I decided rather than packing my car up with my MTB gear, why don't I just ride there? - so for the past few visits I have been riding the ~65km round trip for the ~16km MTB park loop on my gravel bike. All in all, it's about 75-85km (depending on the route and which tracks I ride at the MTB park), and only about 600m of elevation (Melbourne and surrounds aren't very hilly) - but it is so much more satisfying. This way you get to enjoy the journey AND the destination (and a sneaky KFC zinger burger on the way home).
I love taking longer rides, enjoying the bicycle infrastructure around my state with bike paths, rail trails and the places they can take you.
Great video and congrats Anna... but man those tan walls are not to my liking.
ОтветитьI like watching the jumping and epics abroad but this Anna was spot on. Like most here i can only ride 40-50 mile small hill stuff at a weekend due to equipment and money and time. You have inspired me to push a bit more. Good to see a normal popular ride on the channel. I never knew about the zones!
Ответить60gr carbs ever hour, wtf
ОтветитьEpicness
ОтветитьLove to see more women on bikes! I'm signing up for my first ever big challenge like this for August 2025 so this video was very helpful! 100km 8k feet of elevation MTB race.
ОтветитьAnna is hot....
