Awesome lecture, one of the best so far at Startup School. Any other specific recommendations along the lines of 'don't have a confirm password field', or a good resource for that kind of concrete type of advice?
ОтветитьGreat content right here. Thanks so much.
Y Combinator saving business since 1897. 👏 👏
Love how Gary breaks it down and provides some analogies for us! I wish he would do more talks since I've gained so many insights from him (on Twitter, writing, etc).

ОтветитьApple was empathetic but Apple also imposed a lot of thier own brand principles.
No Sales, No colors for years, which I'm sure that if it was up to the consumer they would have voted for it.
It's important to differentiate empathy with consumers than with users. Ie Brand and Product
Palantir is a notoric human rights abuser, whose services are bought by neferious countries in order to control, dominate and kill human beings. The EU is trying to ban Palantir alltogether. Quite the business model indeed.
ОтветитьSuper inspiring
Ответитьcan we still have access to this lecture slide? it says 'cannot be found'
ОтветитьThis is a great talk, but be aware there is more than one school of thought in product/software dev that should be considered. I'd strongly recommend checking out Allen Holub's talks.
ОтветитьGarry's delivery is easy to receive.
ОтветитьA rambling pointless talk.
Ответитьslides link is dead
ОтветитьDesign is about adding flowers to the silk or adding a facade to the building, and making sure it doesn't deter but attracts people. After people are in, it is the existence of value that keeps them. Many things he say may not have prediction power when other more important factors are wrong.
ОтветитьDude drew a little circle and triangle and hes acting like a genius innovator
ОтветитьWhenever I see a door that doesn’t have a pull or push sign, I just look for which side of the door is hinge placed 😌
