Tyrants create more tyrants beneath them which in turn helps the tyrants at the top stay tyrants. The heart of a tyrant can be subtle & hard to see on the surface but if you study the words & actions of one you can see the true heart condition.

This song is one of NIN's best imo. I don't really know or care about Trent reznor's politics (you have to assume the worst these days). But the lyrics and song stand on their own; they're the opposite of demoralizing and it's an anthem to believe in yourself whoever you may be
