Good evening, Ross. Also, all of the cards having an Illustration Rare is great & the quality is very good while problematic. Then, Black Bolt & White being a double set interesting for how the pull rates will be. Lastly, I hope the english equivalents will not scalped in stores or in Pokémon Center Vending machines.

This is amazing but now I'm worried it's going to make fhis set get scalped even harder. Even though I've been interested in Pokémon since the Gen 1 anime and properly playing since gen 3, gen 5 was first gen I was fully concious of the release of, including the cards so this is a special set for me, i just hope I can get some for retail. Can't wait to get my Cottonee ans Whimisicott art rares.

I'm not grabbing the fact that this set has 156 IRs (before FAs, Gold cards, and SIR Supporters), because this seems too good to be true. I remember when 151 was announced that we expect 151 Pokemon got IRs yet we got like 10+. This has the same vibes as some shiny sets from the first year of the Gen eras, like Shiny Star V. Sadly, this will also give the scalpers a gourmet meal because they'll make this set go extinct in the market.

As for the cards tho, they're meh to mid.

Serperior has a good ability which is a 1-1-1 addition in decks since extra dmg is always good. The atk sucks, which I thought we will expect an upgrade from Charizard & Braixen GX hoping for a 2 or 3 energy atk for 180 with the same effect. Stage 2s in SV era SHOULD have cheaper atk cost, what happened? Every Stage 2s revealed lately is returning to its old roots.

We see Emboar's ability being bonkers before, it's not the same today. Emboar NEEDS a strong Basic Pokemon to utilize its full potential.

Samurott's just meh. We have Giovanni and Prime Catcher, who does the same role but *BETTER*. But I could be wrong.

I was super excited for this set but this has absolutely squashed most of the hype for me. Gen 5 has the biggest dex and now you’re telling me that I have to get an AR for every one of them? I’ll be trying to collect the English set but I’m terrified, the scalpers are going to eat it up. Praying that a lot of the AR’s get taken out as promo cards.

If every pokemon has a regular art and an illustration rare then the set would be 312 from pokemon only. Plus the full arts and the sir and the trainers it would be like 400 cards. An impossible master set

Those cards are beautiful. However, i never get those cards because of the scalpers and investors makes products more hard to get and more expensive.

Unless you get IR’s at the rate of pokeball reverse’s, this will be an impossible set to master.

I have a really cool serperior holo with a reverse/holo effect all over the card thats from black&white Legendary Treasures, also got the Gardevoir holo from that set. I hope they bring back those holos in this set where theres a unique pattern on the holos and goes on the whole card and not just in the box

for a 2025 multi-googlionare franchise from the most successful franchise on earth and the most successful, or close enough, card franchise, this is the minimum they could do. If anything the fact these are the rares and not the base cards is the absurd thing, but at least that means there's even more artwork.

Because they're using the same layout for base cards they used in 1997. Also the cards now cost 6 a single pack (or more by now), they make an insane amount of money with these and the poketubers.

However, at least they do somewhat improve the quality of the pokemon cards, unlike the pokemon videogames
