Why does the neo keep crashing?

I'm so out of shape, if I use the DJI Neo in follow mode, it would still outrun me every time

I see you are doing 23-24 mph in follow me mode. I saw several video’s that it only did 21km/h. Is there a difference in US and European model?

It almost seems like the Neo regained you, then, as you walked toward it, it continued to try and follow you backwards - that seems like the cause of the crash. I bet if you'd held out your hand it would have flown back to you rather than backed into the bushes.

I did something similar with a Mini 3 Pro. I stopped it, because there was a man with his dog coming along, so I wanted to wait. I thought, hey, let's fly a bit higher, just to be sure. Then it hit a branch and shot like an arrow to the other side, hit the next tree and shot right down to the bottom, a few centimeters away from a small river. The guy walked by and asked "where's the drone?"... Well, at least I learned how to fix a broken arm. 😀

Do a group ride, and see if it can scan the same person...

The mistake you made is when it reaquired you you should have moved away and it would have followed you but by you approaching it it backed away from you and into a bush

Use the bike to smash the bushes so it's easier to get thru

Why did you walk towards it it had reacquired you your fault it crashed

It was still tracking you and that was why it kept going back and crashed into the bushes behind it...

The new neo Pro next year will have avoidance sensors, longer flight time and better image sensor. This is going to be perfect if they can somehow give an update in the next few months with more custom flying routes/modes.

Be careful riding that bike. Didn't you read the news? Many cyclist have disappeared lately. Nobody knows where they are. Witnesses testify they heard a high pitch sound and some even claim to have seen a small alien spacecraft.

Impossible it can track you at 20mph. You probably confused the speed units as the NEO can only reach 12.5mph in follow mode.

Even with controller, maximum forward speed is 18mph.

Tested several times with mine, so just not feasible what you show in the video.

It looked like it detected you again, and switched to keeping distance. Maybe if you turned around to continue riding, it would have followed you out of there. I suppose you gesture then, to bring it in to land? I wonder how it's tracking goes if you ride with, or through groups of people...

I have tried my Neo to follow a different people. I find her hard to track a people with dark cloth. Maybe you should wear something bright.

Its your mistake. When it loose track of you, you have to go near and then it will track you again and if you continue to go near it, it will track you in reverse mode and it doesnt have sensors and will crash going backwards and any object is there
