Great Video! I like how informative you are about your cuts. Have you ever thought about getting an adjustable friction saver? For coming down anyways, you can run out of rope, pull it out and reset it. It's super convenient!
ОтветитьGod bless brother we got our president back stay safe out there God Bless America God bless president Trump
ОтветитьBig stick!
ОтветитьCurious how ya get such good audio 😂😂 super awesome videos brother. Also i sometimes do a running bowline with a finish and keep it with my flip line works good
ОтветитьHey vts, I really liked the info you had on the vid! I really liked how you told how the jack, cuts, and wedges helped. Also that thick hinge was incredible and sounded beautiful when it fell. Anyway, thanks for the vid and have a wonderful day!
ОтветитьGood video!
Ответитьslash n dash
ОтветитьLooks like a super fun day playing with new toys! Do you always run a 100" climb line or just on down only jobs? Check out retrievable canopy anchors for spar work, spiking down is hard on the body.
ОтветитьIf you watch Buck’ Billy Ray he slows way down when he’s getting technical on the stump. That came to mind as you were cutting the shelf. Great video as always thanks.
ОтветитьBe careful friends at heights, greetings from one profession tree activist
ОтветитьVery nice Tim. She was a long one.
ОтветитьShe was tall.
Love that jack.
Nice work
I have no clue what the new year film you’re referring to as we don’t get alot of films here in Ireland 🇮🇪😢
ОтветитьYour chain cutting crooked has nothing to do with the cutters being different lengths. It is either an issue with the bar and it needing maintenance or the other option is that if you have flat filed your rakers on the chain and have different cutting depths for your teeth. Most of the time is it is an issue with the bar not the chain.
ОтветитьChop and drop! Love it!
ОтветитьThe problem with running a short rope is if you cut yourself or hut a hornets nest and have to get back on the ground fast. I suppose you could rap of the end of your rope on purpose, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't do you any favours on top of your first problem! 😅
ОтветитьHi, Gosh thats 1 heck of a jack wow..Love how you explain whats going on. Stay Safe Watching from Tasmania ❤️🙏👍🤗
ОтветитьIf you hand sharpen your chains and you find that the saw is starting to cut in a curve...... basically making potato chips.... it means that the teath on one side are longer than the other. Most people will do this as they find filing from one side easier than the other. It's really was to fix this, especially if you check the chain fairly regularly.
**when I say "shorter tooth" I mean length wise with the bar, not hight from the guide bar up or down
1- Buy yourself a cheap set of machinists callipers. Their ability to measure the correct length doesn't matter only that you have a screw to lock the jaws at a fixed length.
2- Fit the callipers as if you are going to measure one of the teath and then lock that jaw. You need to find the side with the shortest teeth first. Next, start to check all the teeth on the shorter tooth side of the chain. Every time you find a shorter tooth, release the jaw, snug the callipers up and lock the jaw again.
3- Give the shortest tooth a sharpen and re set the callipers so they have the correct length. You want to be more careful not that you aren't scraping the jaws of the callipers across the teeth and undoing your hard work! Now for the hard part...... especially if you have an old chain that needs a lot of work! Sharpen all of the teath to match your shortest tooth using the callipers to check each tooth.
That's it!! If you use your saw full time, you probably want to check it every few weeks until you start to get a feel for how good or bad you are at your free have sharpening..... i.e. how consistent you are sharpening both sides of the chain. You will soon start to notice that you are getting larger intervals between having to reset the length of the teath with your callipers because, let's face it, learning to sharpen your saw more eventually means you don't have to get the dreaded callipers out again!!!! 😂 Hope this helps someone
I mean when u ran out of rope U could have tied a butterfly an single lined down an then pull ur rope down. Just saying but awesome job an thnks for ur service.. From 20 ur climber…
ОтветитьThat jack is the real deal! My fingers kept poking out. Dang wide lense on that go pro. Thanks for having me out Tim!
ОтветитьIll be darned... Good work man!
I tried this with a harbor freight floor jack on a dead locust... it did not end well. (Im 21, still learning the ropes)
Someone said on a video I saw previously to tie a stop knot in the bottom of the rope to prevent coming off it.
Ответитьwhat size bar are u runing on the stihl 500i?
ОтветитьShows what I know I thought that was a fairly thin hinge for the size of tree it was !!!
