Bringing home the stress of the day is probably a common event for a teacher. Watch as I work with this 20 year teaching veteran who feels pressure to keep up with the demands of challenging students. There's not enough space in the workday, so the stress comes home to invade her evening. She starts with stress at an 8. Watch as our tapping intervention helps that stress move down from her head to her chest, and a realization that she feels some shame around not being able to do enough. We address a specific stressful event from the previous week that is representative of that shame. With continued tapping she discovers "I can go with the flow!" and says her distress has dropped to a 0 or 1. As we wrap up, we test her new confidence and create a trophy symbol (a white heart) to remind her of the positive and welcoming classroom she creates for the students.
