No, in the boer war he was shot in the groin... the bandaged thing wasn't his leg 😂
ОтветитьYou did a video on him already
ОтветитьBro decliened death
ОтветитьIf he doesn’t know about this guy he has to buy you a drink, but yeah totally tell Nick lol
ОтветитьI like how Terry asked how old he was, right after the video said it was his 60th birthday lol.
Also, the "shit" during the Mao scene got Terry's attention, but not the "fuck" a few scenes earlier lol
Reminds me of that quote
If I kill a man im a criminal
If I kill a man in a uniform they’ll give me a bloody medal 😂
"Into the fire through trenches and mud
son of belgium and ireland with war in his blood
leading the charge into hostile barrage
by design, he was made for the frontline.
- Sabaton : the undying soldier.
there was another soldier who hated communism that he served 3 different armies he was finish and his name was Lauri Törni but changed it to Larry Thorne his story is quite interesting
ОтветитьAt the edge of madness
In a time of sadness
An immortal soldier finds his home……
Was he also a sociopath?
ОтветитьIf he was already in Poland at the outbreak of WW2, why didn't he just stay there in that "target rich environment"?
ОтветитьAt this point, they're probably adding things just to stay out of Mr. Terry's classroom.
ОтветитьTalking about the indestructable soldiers... There is a scene from the movie "While at War" featuring spanish nationalist general Milian-Astray. He quotes with laughing to his soldiers a telegramm which he recieved from general Franco: "Congratulations on your fourth wound STOP Eagerly awaiting the fifth STOP"
ОтветитьI do hope you find a mitsi studio video you can show in class, eventually. Also, i agree, this guy is definitely the kind of person the fat electrician would make a video about.
ОтветитьInto the fire through trenches and mud
Son of Belgium and Ireland with war in his blood
Leading the charge into hostile barrage
By design, he was made for the frontline
Studied law, with a thirst for war
Fought in Africa, wanted more
Back in Europe then straight to France
He's joining the allied advance
These kids are in high school right no big deal then show it to them it's history history doesn't always come whitewash do you know
ОтветитьIve been commenting on all of nick’s videos FOR SO LONG asking him to do a video on this story because like you said, it sums TFE up to a Tee
ОтветитьIf I saw him on my boat, my plane or my train, I be immediately hopping off, nope thank you
ОтветитьI think Sabaton has a song about this guy called The Unkillable Soldier
ОтветитьAs you note, while Nick mostly covers Americans... anyone that gets that kind of comment about opposing communism is someone that he'd happily cover (especially with the general tone of this guy)
ОтветитьYa know, I've never thought about it, but you may be onto something 🤔 if there wasn't a war, dude might have found other ways to take out his aggression.
ОтветитьSabaton has a song about this guy called “the unkillable soldier” it’s a badass song
ОтветитьDidn't Sabaton do a song about this guy?
ОтветитьI dont know about indestructible when hes been shoot many times more like immortal
Ответить@Mr. Terry History Sabaton has a song on Adrian Carton de Wiart called The Unkillable Solder
ОтветитьSure, school appropriate, with a giant bandaged wang flopping about near the beginning.
ОтветитьCarton de Wiart...still a famous familly in Belgium....Édouard had lately the british nationality by the King of England
Ответитьi found your channle through mitsi studio
ОтветитьTo answer your question about the strategy game shown in the sponsor segment: yes, it is one of the better ones. I actually play it a lot myself
ОтветитьYeah it was his "Leg" his third leg. 🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьI think he liked the "courageous" and "honor" part of combat rather than the killing one. He was stoic and somewhat humorous when it came to talking about war, and it really reflected his preference of a life of duty rather than one made with civilian comfort.
ОтветитьIn short, your average RPG character.
ОтветитьAvoiding having PTSD is very simple; all you need is to be a psychopath.
ОтветитьProbably a bit late but for unkillable soldiers I think the French Marshal Nicolas Oudinot has Carton de Wiart beaten. For during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic wars he was wounded 34 times.
ОтветитьAwesome guy Carton De Wiart
ОтветитьI read this guy on Wikipedia with pictures!
My mom calls him "The Guy who Never Die"
The saying “Some people just want to watch the world burn.” doesn’t even come close to describing this man.
Not only will he watch the world burn, he supplied the gas, lit the match, and had napalm on standby just in case that wasn’t enough.
id love to see a FE video on this
ОтветитьI think we've found Pattons BFF😂
ОтветитьYeah this guy wouldve been a serial killer if he never joined the military
Ответитьto be honest, this video shows it better but sabaton history explains it better.
Ответитьfor more sources, ive made a shitty talk video about him a year ago, and also his book "happy odyssey" is so much fun to read (at least the fun quotes) and there is a few more things that was not in this video, like the back of his head being blown off or the fingers that he ripped off with his teeth or that he took the pin off of grenades with his teeth.
TheFatElectrician could also like the story on lauri törni, the soldier of three armies. another absolute madman who basicly said "communism? over my dead body!" as he fought against them whenever he could and has a few more weird things he did, like serve in the waffen ss and green beret
Into the fire through trenches and mud
