Lithium-ion batteries are EVERYWHERE. Fortunately, the ones in the "battery energy storage facilities" have first-class battery management systems, which reduce the possibility of a catastrophic failure (like a thermal runaway, which might result in a fire or explosion). But/but, the lithium-ion batteries in your electronics (including mobile phones), kid's toys, handheld power tools, and even electric vehicles MIGHT NOT have such sophisticated battery management systems.

I'm wondering if all the battery storage facilities that catch fire are only using one type of lithium chemistry. LFP supposed to be lowest risk of fire but I'm wondering if that was what was used.
