Haven't seen the prosecutor since she danced with Swayze in the dance movie. This was very good movie. There is much improvement needed in the justice system. I know they r overloaded with cases. One major improvement is the death penalty not imprisonment if crime is killing. Prisons r too full. This movie was very good story. Very good acting.

Why didn’t anyone get a search warrant to look for the knife and stolen belongings in Jessie’s house? Why didn’t anyone go to all the stores he went to since the date of the robbery and find out what he paid with or find his receipts?

Proof is irrelevant. Manipulation is sadly an attorney standard, even when paying outrageous sums for laziness and unversed case law.

Public Defender work with the prosecutors making deals on conviction for a speedy case, most people who been convicted is scared to take cases to trial because of the system of white supremacy always want to convict Negros/Freedmen/Foundation Black Americans and this is the same white supremacy which causes economical deprivation in all Negros/Freedmen/Foundation Black Americans communities having no money for a lawyer, too many defendants take plea deals for lesser charge or charges so they can just go home, if majority Negros/Freedmen/Foundation Black Americans is ready too sit in jail on not taking plea deals for their innocence and have money for a lawyer then the system of white supremacy will not be able to mass incarcerate us Negros/Freedmen/Foundation Black Americans as this white supremacy system have been doing !!!!!!!!!!! If you is innocent, keep turning down the Public Defenders, eventually as time passes if you’re sitting in jail because you can’t make the bail the system of white supremacy must send a court appointed lawyer to represent you, a court appointed lawyers is a lawyer that must take a case because most court appointed lawyers did something offensive to a judge in court and instead of sending them through trail they got to take a case Pro-Bono !!!!!!!!!!!!

Well-written, well-acted, well-directed and thoroughly depressing. The ending is pretty frustrating, as we never know if he really did it or that he pled out because he believed no jury would acquit if they saw the scar on her face. That’s life in the American justice system, though; thoroughly depressing and deeply frustrating.

So, it's 2024 and this movie was released in 1990. Can you believe this is 34 years old?? Makes you wonder if the stars in this even remember (or want to remember) doing this movie. It didn't do very well even though it was on cable. The critics gave it bad reviews. Imo it is a good movie. If this really was how the NY courts were in 1990, then ALOT of people must've been wrongly convicted. 😞

Wow! I am so confused.
I mean, there are 2 sides of the story here.

First. The way Jessy was sure that Denice was not gonna come i was very sure that he was responsible for the crime because he knew that he had threatened her

BUT

The way he couldn't even describe the crime scene got me thinking... maybe he's just afraid that he would stay in jail for long, maybe he didn't commit the crime!😢
