This GUY IS FUCKING BRILLIANT... Jesus Christ he doesn't need props or scripts. The whole world is his STAGE... LOL!!! He can get up off his bed, walk out his house in his underwear, simply walk up to someone and say some stupid shit to him or her AND IT WILL BE FUNNY AS SHIT. You have TO LAUGH YOUR ASSES OFF... why don’t they make shows like this now? dom joly is an all time great

Dom plays stereotype's so well. The French guy in episode one is genius as is the British Bob jumping the Grand Canyon and the Goth in episode two. The Greek ambassador is a utterly ridiculous but brilliant stereotype.
And the failed Artist in this episode. And the Chav character who appears in several episodes. Also the accident prone guy in a later episode.Dom seems to love using a West Country accent in several episodes. Alot of what Dom says in completely made up on the spot due to what the public's reaction or response is. The old folks response to the Goth & The Hermit is brilliant and just shoes typical British politeness & reactions to preposterous characters and the things Dom says. This was a big step up and more character driven than his hugely successful Trigger Happy TV on channel 4 UK. Sadly this was pretty unsuccessful and didn't receive much praise from the media and passed most people by. And was never shown again by the BBC or any other channel. It's pure comedy genius. And the soundtrack is exceptional.
I immediately bought this on DVD as soon as it was released. Shame it didn't get the praise it deserved.
