I’m so glad that you picked Nambu for synth of the year, it’s truly remarkable FM synth. Thank you very much on this in-depth presentation / tutorial. 👍
ОтветитьWould be nice if you held a live "masterclass" in designing presets for Nambu?
ОтветитьLooking forward to watching this later, when I have some quiet time. Had Nambu since launch and I’ve still not given it the attention it deserves.
ОтветитьSo good! Both the synth and the video! Nicely done!
ОтветитьYou knowwwwwwww(?)!!!😂
Now i want to get an ipad just to run this beast😝 😉👍👊
Looks SICK! Sounds intense & fun😊
You're a marvel Jakob. You've unlocked this synth for me now and can't wait to have a proper play. Thanks so much.
ОтветитьI done brown noise in my pants once
ОтветитьThanks for the overview Jakob. Awesome and complex (good way) sounds. Wish you a happy and Great 2023,
ОтветитьThankyou for bringing this synth to my attention! Always loved the resonator in Ableton but I don't use Ableton anymore - very cool having that ability inside the structure of the synth. I'll have to buy this.
ОтветитьWhat shall I say!
This video worth the waiting, it’s the best reference to understand the most of Nambu.
Thank you Jakob always waiting your next video ❤
If I had only two Synth apps on my iPad it would be Nambu and Drambo! Awesome video and great patch!
ОтветитьD’runkeness! 🍻
ОтветитьInformative and entertaining at the same time, thanks. Now I better understand how to properly use it…
ОтветитьWhat a great tutorial! I didn’t get this app, even though I love IceWorks, because I decided I have enough synth apps. But now…we’ll I have to get it 😊
ОтветитьJakob, there were so many great synths in 2022, but a few really stand out in terms of innovation, UI, and sound design potential. Nambu is one of those, for sure. Although it’s a bit complex to figure out, the excellent layout makes the process easier. Thanks for another excellent walkthrough/tutorial. Uh-oh…TikTok calling…🤣
ОтветитьAmazing synth, fantastically helpful walk-through, beautiful visual presentation. Very inspiring - thank you.
ОтветитьVery punny title! And sweet retro sounds. Plus the usual Haq level of throrough review. 👍
ОтветитьThanks for this video 🎉
I love Nambu ❤ I even thought about uninstalling all other synths.
And what is more, I found it very "cpu performance friendly" ✨
OK, I'm running to get it!
ОтветитьThis fits fight in with my modular plan!
ОтветитьWell that was a great video. I love your sound dedign tutorials. Also a very nice patch you just did. I might wanna recreate that.
I’m looking forward to part 2 😊
I love to get more into FM synthesys. Right now my teaking is very unpredicteble but I have heard that i’m not the only one.
Congrats on the video! You got some amazing sounds out of this app.
ОтветитьI am at almost two years of trying to teach myself sound synthesis on the iPad, and still consider myself a rank amateur. I find many synths difficult to control, because they are laid out in a way that makes it difficult to visualize the signal path, and thus better understand how the particular knob one is tweaking is affecting the result.
What I love about this synth is how clearly one can visualize the path of the signal through the various modifiers and filters, and to see by tweaking and mixing them how exactly they are affecting the signal. It also looks like a great way to learn about the differences between additive and subtractive synthesis!
Being a novice musician as well as a novice synthesist, I have the extra struggle of often being unfamiliar with even the basic concepts, like “what is the difference between a filter envelope and a mod envelope?”, and I feel that this instrument might really help me better understand those concepts.
Once again, you have made an engaging and entertaining video that has brought me a bit further towards my goal of understanding this fascinating subject. Thanks so much for everything you do!
I would love to see you do a series on the basics of synthesis, as my only difficulty in watching your videos is that they often assume a basic level of understanding that I don’t quite yet possess…
I better understand how to create my own patches now, thanks a lot. Would be great to see more Nambu tutorials and your own presets pack
ОтветитьThis thing is wild. Very deep, but laid out in a clean way.
ОтветитьThanks, I have just purchased via your link, hope your get a cut. Excellent run through, many thanks.
ОтветитьExcellent video!
ОтветитьGood Job Jakob! Very nice Synth and very good presentation. Tack så mycke!
ОтветитьFantastic tutorial!
Also, that pun makes you a very bad man indeed.
Took me 6 days to spot the joke in the title 😂 ok…. Back to vacation! Anyway, great vid Sir 😊
ОтветитьFor someone on a budget that is still looking for the best possible synth (that’s mostly interested in making their own sounds), would you recommend this, LaGrange, or something else? I have an iPhone and already downloaded all the free (and freemium!) synths
ОтветитьI'm new to iPad music making, I've been looking for good synth apps and I hadn't heard of this one yet. I'm impressed by how flexible and versatile it looks, and how much fine control there is over every conceivable parameter.
ОтветитьSweet. I saw the “anything is an operator” tag line and felt the light breath of fame: I wrote that in a comment on.. yeah, one of your videos that I could probably find if I wanted to search through six months of history but there are very few things I will do that for at my ever-disconcertingly advancing age.
Always happy to turn a phrase, though!
And now I’m going to steal your patch. :) Tho I do plan to change it up a little. If it sounds interesting I’ll try to share it.. somewhere. Thanks for the ideas.
You made one hell of an ambient patch 😮
ОтветитьI love how this synth takes the function application philosophy of FM and goes all out with it. Awesome!
ОтветитьThis looks awesome!! Imma need some presets
ОтветитьI should of bought Laplace when it was on sale, stupid me didn’t get it now I want it. But Lorentz is on sale now
ОтветитьNambu has been updated to work on Macs, so I've felt the drive to finally dive into it. I only watched the first part of this video before but now that I'm over the intimidation hurdle I found the longer tutorial fascinating! I'm sure you are very busy Jakob and I don't know if the work reward ratio is worth doing it but I would adore a part 2 where you do another kind of sound, perhaps exploring those loose ends you mention at the end. Maybe drum kit or exploring the sequencers or doing a deeper FM patch, whatever you feel would be fun for you to do I suppose. Love your videos!
ОтветитьUn mocooooo
ОтветитьCan you dedicate a video for iPhone based best synthesizers
Ответитьthis synth is badass
ОтветитьIs it possible to tune it at 432hz?
ОтветитьThankYouThankYouThankYou!! What a fantastic walk thru. Your explanation of the structure of this synth brought it all together for me. I think Iceworks may be my favorite soft synth designer. Between Nambu and Lagrange, I feel like I have all my synth bases covered.
ОтветитьI followed along as closely as I could. I like my results but it doesn’t sound very much like the patch created in this tutorial.
ОтветитьCame here to unGAS myself, nambu is awesome, the world is sleeping on it for sure
ОтветитьAwesome video, thanks for your video they’re a great help 👍
ОтветитьNambu is a true killer, just bought it...thanks for the awesome tutorial and walkthrough ❤❤❤
ОтветитьIm a Deer viewer! 🦌
ОтветитьEPIC tutorial Jakob!!! I grabbed this one after watching :)
