Soldering won't work in applications where there is movement or much vibration. For those applications you need a small spot welder. That's why a lot of ebike batteries short and catch fire. Someone didn't make them correctly.

Then solder fast using a hot iron. Soldered joints can carry a lot more current than thin tab material.
