Although the gear skiving process has more advantages than gear shaping, strong gear-skiving cannot completely replace gear-shaping processing at present. If the modulus of the workpiece is greater than module 8, the diameter of the workpiece is greater than 800mm, and there is interference between the tool and the workpiece, only the gear shaping method can be used.
