Not even a mention of Assinie Wilson going down out of the blocks. Anybody know what happened to him? Clearly an injury, but what?
Edit: Found it, pulled a hamstring.
I think Vaillant knew Dos Santos was to his left. He wanted to know if anyone else was coming up on the right.

The Jamaican runner in lane 7 fell right at the start of the race and the announcers said nothing about it. Then on the back straight away it looks like the Algerian runner in lane 9 pulled up and again the announcers said nothing. Some of what passes for commentary has been really inadequate in just the first two days of these games.

I'm sure he looked to his right because he knew "the world champion" was going to rwin, so he was sizing up the rest of the field and ensuring he finished second.

Not even a mention for the poor guy who tumbled over out of the blocks. Travel all the way to this meet just to fall down and not even get to shoot your shot. Feels bad, man.

Why did he look right? That is where his competition was to get to the final as he assumed Dos Santos would be first.
