It is great to see the reissue of so many vintage designs. Makes me think about how modern manufacturing and materials have improved the quality of watches which made them vulnerable to the quartz crisis back in fhe day.

Wonderful. I serviced and restored one of these for a client a few years back. He bought it down in the Bahamas back in the 70s. Cannon pinion was shot so I had to locate the correct cannon pinion replacement for this ETA based GMT. Managed to find one believe it or not. Original did not have quick set date and GMT hand was not independent. Very cool.

How much longer are people going to be willing to shell out $1600 for a caller GMT just so they can have "Swiss Made" on the dial? Soprod and Selita need to come out with a competitor to the Miyota 9075.
