My opinion of the time mechanic is that Pikmin 1's time mechanic sucked because the hard-and-fast 30 days puts SO much anxiety. Ditching the limit entirely in 2 was a little silly, so 3 having the ability to extend the timer by tying to a mechanic like 'food'.
Basically, if 1 had a way to extend the time limit, or maybe just the like easy-day-chooser like 3 seems to have, it'd feel less stressful to me? Idunno.

i dont know if this is just me being very "pure" and optimistic about how i view these things but i view these as just extra little pieces of gameplay to strategize about, for example, directing a single captain back to the place to make sure they round up all the returning pikmin. im probably biased though since i particularly enjoyed managing all three captains and usually having at least two, if not all three, constantly moving and doing something on their own

The big whistle is so obscene man. It wasn’t even like that in the original, and they decided to make the whistle ridiculously big in the deluxe version.

Why couldn’t they have added a feature where you can customize your whistle size? Or at the very least make the size the same as in the original game
