Unfortunately defamation doesn't include, confirm nor deny truth. Its merely worded to protect reputation. Truths have no weight in the issue of defamation, it damages your rep, if its truth or not ils irrelevant. Fortunately there is already precedent that shows the haven't prove damage was done. And also that you cannot benefit from your own wrong doing.

Australian consumer law makes manufacturer warranties mostly irrelevant, unless there is something quite "above and beyond" about the manufacturer warranty. By not supporting their product these guys are in violation of the law regardless of what they say their warranty states or the length they say this warranty is. You'd just need to show that a battery dropping below 80% of rated capacity within a reasonable lifetime and when used in a reasonable manner constitutes it failing to work as it should

The problem is that companies often hide and protect the people responsible. It is hard to pin down one person when the blame is spread over a whole department to varying degrees. Not sure DCS will publicly crucify the employee and/or website manager who changed the terms of sale/warranty on their website. Did an executive order the change or was it a kool-aid drinking employee who thought they were doing the company a favour? We may never know.

I'm building a 50kwh system in rural NC. DCS by their bullying actions have just saved me a boatload of money and aggravation. Anything DCS has been removed from the B.O.M. People down the road hired a company trying to install DCS batteries. I showed them this video and they had the company remove and replace all 15 batteries. (A few were offline spares.)
