Kinda surprise with their relationship change from father & son to cousins

I was hoping that they could've stayed as father and son so a dialogue could've been: Takeda: "Dad?" Kenshi: "Who?"

To be honest, it feels weird for me that Takeda calls Kenshi by his name. I know they're cousins now but it still feels a bit weird.

Takeda is a villain in this timeline

It''s obvious that Takeda remembers his father because he asks for his help in finding the Black Dragon clan and defeating the one responsible for the assassination of Takeda''s mother. In Mortal Kombat X. Kenshi promised Takeda that together as a team they would hunt down the culprits who assassinated Takeda''s mother.

Whats wierd is that....in one mirror intro with tekeda, he says to the other tekeda..."your kenshis cousin?.....im his son?"

What if the name TAKEDA is also a mantle like SCORPION? and in future, Kenshi's son will take that suit and name...

I actually prefer this to the father son dynamic
Takeda always felt like he could be much more than just the next generation
Much like Kenshi he just oozes badassery and feels like an instant icon

I just want to get this kind of forgotten dialogues like these one intros

Kenshi: Am I your father from your timeline before?

Takeda: Based from my timeline before, yes I am your only one son, father Kenshi.

And

Takeda: Don't even try to tell me about my mother or your wife

Kenshi: Wait, who's this mother you talking about and did I have a wife before?

I like the new dynamic between them. Leaves room for Takeda to be on the same level as Kenshi as far as character development and not in his shadow like i felt like he was in X. Both highly badass characters in their own right, Kenshi more so imo. And who is Chioko😮?!

So the Black Dragon is in the New Era and si c’è Jax is a FBI agent in the New Era I wonder If Sonya is also an FBI agent

Why in the hell did they changed him to be his Cousin? Being his son would make a lot more cool interactions, for fuck sake Netherealm...

It wouldve been better if they made Takeda the same one from original timeline considering he was off somewhere in MK11
